Excellent read
Excellent of course! Its Sherlock Holmes.... The narrator was excellent!!!!!!! The story plots, though well known to Sherlock Holmes readers, was excellent. The narrator had a way to make all the stories sound NEW.

Great stories, great performance
I have always been a die hard Sherlock Holmes fan and this audio book doesn't disappoint. The narrator captures not just the spirit of Holmes and Watson, but also 1800s London as well. Very well done.

Classic!
Obviously the content, being unabridged is a classic collection. The narration also is beyond reproach. I thoroughly enjoyed the stories again and hearing them brought to life in such a brilliant performance was very satisfying. I highly recommend this collection. Wether you know the stories or experience them for the first time, you will not be disappointed.

Excellent rendition of a classic collection
This is a masterful recording of perhaps THE best collection of classic mystery stories. Conan Doyle's stories have gone down in history, with little to be said that has not already been said. However, Simon Vance's rendition of Holmes, Watson and the colorful characters they encountered was a joy to listen to. I highly recommend this lengthy recording which just seems to fly by from the first to last.

Content Warning
Reminder that Conan Doyle used very racist language, because let's face it, he was an Englishman writing over 100 years ago, and so of course he did. it doesnt excuse it, however be prepared. I would love to find a complete works that is slightly adapted...but even then the jingoism and misogyny would still be prevelant....I guess Holmes will remain a problematic fav. Simon Vance the narrator does a great job on this book.

Timeless and Amazing!!!
The writing and stories are amazing, I can't imagine all these Great tells coming from one person. Mr Doyle is on another

Doyle and Vance: Perfect Combination
I have always been a fan of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle all my life having ready many of his stories. This complete compilation was a treat for me to gorge on over a long time in between other books. But it is not only the great stories from Doyle, Simon Vance has brought this performance home. As usual, Simon draws me further into the stories and allowing me to see them in my mind's eye. Well done!
