Travis Parker has everything a man could want: a good job; loyal friends; his dream home in small-town North Carolina. In full pursuit of the good life, he believes that a serious relationship with a woman would only cramp his style. That is until Gabby Holland moves in next door. Despite Travis's attempts to be friendly, she seems to have a chip on her shoulder about him. But something compels Travis to get to know his new neighbour. His persistent efforts lead them both to make tough decisions, the consequences of which neither could have foreseen.
The Choice confronts us with that most heart-wrenching question of all: how far would you go to keep the hope of love alive?

"I would listen for the performance alone"
If you ever listened or read Nicholas Sparks' books, you know what you are getting to. It is the kind of reading if you want to relax and enjoy a good romance. However, and I noticed this in most of his books, the stories start very well and in the middle you start to lose interest. It was the same with The Choice.
Never. I love reading romance. It is my favourite genre, but it may have put me off reading Nicolas Sparks. The reason is that all books from him that I read, I lose interest and want to stop reading. I have to make a great effort to keep going.
I loved the beginning of the book, the parts where romantic characters are getting to know each other.
I would watch it on TV, but I wouldn't pay for it.
The greatest part of this audiobook is the narration. The narrator is amazing. If it wasn't for his performance , I would have probably stopped reading.
"great story just a little slow to get started"
yes to both, love Nicholas Sparks books and the narrator was easy to listen to
Slower than I expected from previous books
Yes and no, seemed very long at time due to slow nature of story but some parts were very good
"To cry for...."
What can I say about this book than.... I fall in love with Nicholas sparks histories every time I read them, I'm such a romantic girl and his books never seem to disappoint me, with the audiobook it only took me 2 days to finish the book, love it and recommend it to anyone who wants to fall in love.
Again anther great book! A roller coaster of emotions. It gave me some thinking to do, what would I do? I liked the characters and this story could happen to any of us. Highly recommend reading/listening to this book.
"True to Nicholas Sparkes' style of writing"
Yes, if because there is always something that resonates in some way (which is true of any of Nicholas Sparkes books). This one made my heart smile, laugh, cry, sob, and feel so many emotions all in one. Its one i would listen to again but i couldn't do it too often. I could easily have continues reading/listening to it if it had carried on. How does Nicholas touch my heart in so many ways in one story!
I wanted to put the book down because i could not bare it, but I also wanted to read as fast as I could in case the ending was different to what u expected, then it threw me because it twisted into another direction...
My favourite part was the weekend with friends, the slow fall into friendship with everyone, I felt i was there somewhere not just reading/listening to it.
because your worth it
Have your tissues ready, but do read it, its definitely worth it!!!
Worst book I've laboured through in years. Boy meets girl and then nothing. No plot, no story. Just sickly sweet dialogue.
Woman bangs her head and recovers. The end. Dreadful. I cannot advise against wasting a credit on this enough.
"Ruined by ridiculous music!"
It's a nice enough story. It has this music that appears for no reason at random points, completely ruins the book
"musical interludes add to drama"
The production on this book was excellent with musical interludes adding to the drama. I found this lovely easy listen and would recommend to anyone who likes a good love story.
The story had me laughing at the well described thoughts and interactions between them and shed a tear also excellent story
