Welcome to the story of a real marriage. Marriage is simultaneously the biggest blessing and the greatest challenge two people can ever take on. It is the joy of knowing there is someone to share in your joys and sorrows, and the challenge of living with someone who thinks it’s a good idea to hang a giant antelope head on your living room wall. In The Antelope in the Living Room, New York Times bestselling author and blogger Melanie Shankle does for marriage what Sparkly Green Earrings did for motherhood - makes us laugh out loud and smile through tears as she shares the holy and the hilarity of that magical and mysterious union called marriage.

quirky but full of wisdom. good for newly weds and someone like me, married 7 yrs, two kids, and full time job. through the book i see her insight how old love looks versus that new love we all idolize. turns out i have no idea how much my husband is still in love with me. he's exactly like Perry!
YES! It's like listening to a best friend share her stories.
I love how funny and real it is.
When he walks out of their townhouse with a grocery sack holding a toothbrush and clean underwear. lol
The very end. I won't spoil it. But she is very profound there.
This book is like my hubby's get out of jail free card. Anytime I'm annoyed with or mad at him (which is a lot, this is marriage after all) I listen to this book. It makes me feel all better knowing I'm not alone.
Avid reader, gardener and dog lover. I love many different types of non-fiction. Happy to say I love the Lord.
I love Melanie's storytelling style. I could relate to so much in this book. My husband is very similar to hers. I laughed out loud a lot. She makes the everyday things hysterical.
