After the tragic death of her fiancé, Grace McConnell turns to the only remaining constant in her life, her work. So when she's offered the lead position for an international restoration project, she jumps at the chance to get away from her small town, full of John's memories.
Drew Tensley has always been a hard worker. Dedicated to his family and community, he put aside his own London career to take over the family business after his mother's terminal diagnosis. Five years later, he's ready to start living for himself when he literally runs into his hometown's newest architect.
Grace quickly discovers that traveling halfway across the world was the best decision she's ever made...until she meets Drew, a man whose personality and lifestyle are the exact opposite of John's, but whose face is the spitting image. Struggling with her own motivations and feelings, research uncovers secrets she isn't ready for; secrets that could ruin her second chance for true love.

When first beginning this book, I thought it was going to be a long, boring listen. I was wrong. 15 minutes in, and I was hooked. The storyline was more than real and captivating. Grace McConnell goes to England to try and rebuild her life after losing her longtime boyfriend to tragedy. Little does she know, there is a man in the town she settles that is an exact look alike to him. The attraction is immediate and over time, she overcomes her infatuation with the fact that he looks like her old boyfriend, and Grace falls in love with Drew. There are many complications, real life situations(like Drew's mother's illness) and heartbreaks that keep you enthralled with finding out the result of this relationship. Can they overcome all the problems? You will have to read the book to find out!
Sophie King is an amazing narrator and gives a wonderful performance of this book. I especially loved her voice for Drew...totally fell in love with his character and I can say it was her warmth in his voice that brought it out.
Good Books Don't Promote Violence
If you met a person who was the spitting image of someone you knew, wouldn't you casually mention the resemblance? Not architect Grace, who meets Drew in the UK, but doesn't say "hey, you remind me of a childhood friend from Virginia". Just because Grace was still grieving, she could have been more honest.
It was too unbelievable that Grace, while traveling on business, would just happen to meet a man who could be the identical twin of her dead boyfriend. I liked Kate, her best friend & business assistant, and Drew as well as the charming English village where Kate is helping to restore an old historic building.
The author seems to have talent; I wish the restoration project had been the focal point of the plot, not the turbulent romantic relationship between Kate and Drew.
