High heels, hijinks, and head honchos in Hollywood
Chauvinism. Cutthroat competition. It’s all in a day’s work for Alexa Ross, vice president of comedy development at Hawkeye Broadcasting System. After years of fighting her way through the Hollywood boys’ club, Alexa thinks she’s finally free of Jerry Kellner, her sleazy ex-boss - until she learns that Jerry is her newest employee.
Now it’s all-out war at HBS, and Jerry is determined to destroy Alexa. Good thing Alexa has her charming boyfriend, Gordon, and her best girlfriends for emotional support. But the pressure in her life forces her to a breaking point, and she finds herself wondering what matters most - and if she has the strength and the determination to finally shatter the glass ceiling without ruining the rest of her life.

It just went on and on, and on, far to wordy. The lead character is supposed to be a tv executive, but acts like a scared constantly whinging schoolgirl. I only made it thorough the first chapter and that was enough.
That the lead character. I wanted to like her, but her constant mental dialogue about how she didn't measure up was too much to take. As often as she talked about " having a set" even a steel "set " on her desk it was obvious they didn't work. I just kept wanting to scream at her " to pull up her big girl panties and deal" .
She didn't help, her voice was very dull, as the book went on with the lead characters very long mental dialogue about all her inadequacies, it all became too much. Far too annoying to endure the whole book.
Great annoyances, eventually I just screamed in sheer frustration and turned it off.
I got it at a reduced price in one of the daily deals, but you can be sure I well ask for a refund.
