great job

i love the narrator as usual she is great this book is smooth yet exciting and yes i was looking for a happy ending. i listened straight thru.Nice to see black women being portrayed as sucessful women in such a diverse way.i read allers before.i would like to hear more from her on audible.com.This book is not just fluff,but fluff with substance.Very enjoyable characters.

Enjoyable

I enjoyed the book. However, I was constantly distracted by the narrator's inability to portray the dialect of an African American. She's not black! Messed up the whole deliverance.

One of the Best...

I read/listen alot and this is one of the best! I would highly recommend this book and look forward to reading more from this author. The narrator was fabulous!!! I really enjoyed it and could hardly put it down to go to work!

LIFE'S OFFERINGS

Pleasure Seekers isn't what the title would suggest. Although some may not find the storyline to their liking. Personally, I found it to be an enjoyable and interesting scenario where old and new friends taken out of their elements to take a chance for different reasons and later finding some of life's happiness. Another happily everafter story by Rochelle. Over the years I've enjoyed every book Rochelle Alers has written and find no exception with Pleasure Seekers.

Interesting Story

Wow - I wasn't quite sure what this story was about based on the title - but got sucked in about 10 minutes afterwards. I really enjoyed this book, as it told stories of 4 women (not just the 3 inidicated). Each story stood on it's on and had lots of drama, romance, etc. Ms. Alers is one of my fave authors, so when I saw this audio, I had to purchase. Gabra Zackman also did a good job with the narraration. I'd say more, but that would give the premise of the story away. If you want a good "women's" story with some intrigue - go for it.

Five Stars Not Enough!

This book was superb! Loved the stories of all the women and the narration was excellent! Highly recommended!

This story is different

The aged old profession with a twist. The characters were personalized, and the reader gets to know them upfront & personal. Oh I think it's always about the money, but this story demonstrates the reasons & causes behind making big money in the pleasure industry.

Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Gabra Zackman?

i m not sure, but she lacked something, it would have helped to have different voice's for all the women got lost sometimes

Pleasure Seekers us one of my favorite books by a favorite author. I LOVE IT.

Wonderfully written and narrated

I was disappointed to read one of the scathing reviews of Gabra's narration. I totally disagree, she did a wonderful job and was true to the characters. I fell completely in love with Faye and Bart, their story was quite lovely, but I enjoyed all four women's distinct stories. In fact, I've listened to the book twice already and most likely will listen again. I recommend this book highly and will look out for more books by Rochelle Alers in the future.
