A Sanctifying Experience

It was Very difficult for me to listen to Rahab’s story from the author’s perspective. Some of the wrongs done to Rahab were done to me. Through this story the Holy Spirit exposed some very old wounds in me to alert me to my need of healing in those areas. After specific prayers, dear Jesus did indeed heal me. As I said A Sanctifying Experience. Enjoy. God bless.

Rahab

I enjoyed this biblical story with clever fictional events added in. It made me go to the bible and reread the true account of Rahab's story and the Israelites. The author did a great job using real facts and adding to them. I highly reccomend reading this story and comparing it to God's story it was a lot of fun!

Absolutely fantastic

This book is absolutely fantastic. It's a fictional account of what Rahab had to live through. When we read the Bible, we read it from our perspective and judge its characters by our standards, culture and ways. Tesssa Afshar has a unique ability to allow us to see how things were back when the Bible stories were taking place. And this story about so much more than Rahab's way of life. It shows us how the things that we live through as a child are with us throughout our life and how only through the power of God can we break out of our mold and thoughts. Each of Ms. Afshar's books that I've read has been thought provoking in a good way and makes us look inward to how we are living, facing life and responding to others. And this book is one of the best at doing that. I rarely give 5 stars, but I am to this one. I think that Ms. Afshar is one of my new go to authors. Love her books and definitely recommend this one!

Pearl in the Sand Brings an Old Testament Story to Life!

What a wonderful book. What a wonderful telling of a story that first played out ages ago. As much as things change, the human heart remains the same. We struggle with many of the same issues the people in the Bible did. No spoilers! You have to read this book!! It will touch your heart & you’ll be glad you did.

Amazing Story of Rahab

I love this version of the story of Rahab and the performance. (The music was a pleasant surprise.). I appreciate that the author kept the basics of the story as it appears in the Bible while adding believable background and dialogue to make a wonderful love story.
