Fast paced easy read perfect for super commuters

I have a two hour commute and I am always looking for something to make it a little easier. this took me out of the car and on a fun ride for a few trips around the beltway.

Sensational!

I loved every minute of this story. The action was well paced and beautifully described and choreographed. The characters, especially the main one, were interesting and engaging. Simply excellent, and in an over played genre such as zombies this was a breath of fresh air and ingenuity.

War filled, thrilling and politically relatable.

In a post 9/11 setting, zombies created by terrorists try to destroy the U.S. I was left wanting more every time I had to pause the book. Must read for those who enjoy tactical war books that twist with a scientific zombie line and touches of a love story. Highly recommend books read by this narrator as well! Amazing voice over.

Great story!

Really liked this book. The narration was very good. The writing was also good and the story line was still very timely, given the escalating tensions in the Middle East and the technological advances that have occurred in recent years.

Entertaining

This is a great audiobook for shear entertainment value. There's nothing in here that will leave a profound effect on you, or will make you re-think anything in your life, or even give you momentarily self-reflection. This is a hollywood action movie in an audiobook. Which makes it an easy listen. Ray Porter as always is a great narrator, and does a tremendous job of pacing the action scenes, which if I was reading them on paper I will admit felt like they could have gotten long. But narrated they were just about right. The length was about right too - this is definitely one of those stories which would have gotten dull if it had gone on too long. I'm iffy about going onto the second of these, as the first one always seems to muster the best punch but I will probably try to give the sequel a whirl.

Reads like movie!

Ray porter's performance is amazing and feels like there's a full supporting cast like a script read rather than novel. Maberry's writing takes you on twists and turn, making you look one way but miss the train right in front of you. Great listen!

I need more!

I can't get enough. Makes me wonder about our world and how fiction is so close. Ray Porter is awesome!

I'm so glad that I purchased this copy of Joe Ledger series this is the beginning where he builds his team each character comes to life

THIS IS GOING TO BE A MOVIE

I can see this on the big screen,. I know it's coming. This book was a movie in my head. Interesting, action packed, a good plot this book has it all. I will wait for the move I am sure will come.
