Publisher's summary

There's room at the inn. But you might not get out.

Nestled on a lonely stretch along the Pacific coast, quaint roadside outpost Harmony Corner offers everything a weary traveler needs - a cozy diner, a handy service station, a cluster of motel rooms...and the Harmony family homestead presiding over it all. But when Odd Thomas and company stop to spend the night, they discover that there’s more to this secluded haven than meets the eye - and that between life and death, there is something more frightening than either.

It good

Too short for a full credit, but it's still good. Would probably pass on this one.

My favorite Odd Thomas book

I'm a diehard fan of the Moonlight Bay series, so anything that involves Wyvern captivates me. Loved it

This one is a little shorter then most, but still Odd Thomas. I can't wait for the next one.

Great book. Nice change of pace for Odd books.

Highly recommended! Short and sweet. I really liked the Fort Wyvern references. Reminded me of Moonlight Bay trilogy.

Very good addition to the series :)

4 stars

This was a very good addition to the Odd Thomas series. It's actually 3 short stories that (together) complete one story but overall the story is almost as long as a normal Odd Thomas adventure.

In this story, Odd and Annmarie stop at a place for the night that rents cottages. This takes place mere hours after the end of book #4 and the only reason they stop is because Odd has a pull to do his thing. He finds a family in trouble and the trouble they're in brings ties to Koontz's Moonlight Bay series (although there's no meet up with Christopher Snow). Odd does his thing in his typical Odd Thomas way and saves the day before he and Annmarie move on. I'm moving on to book #5 and I'd recommend the whole series. :D

EXCELLENT tale well told!

Buy it. It's my favorite since the original. Less messy than other sequels, fun intact and characters are enjoyable and realized. The narrator is again a true wonder in his performance. Oddy's world simply cannot come to life without him for me.
