Publisher's Summary

The forces of darkness have a new enemy!

Enter the terrifying world of former Special Ops soldier Mark Talon and occult expert/tech billionaire Simon Casca. Two men, united by tragedy, with one goal - to keep the world safe from black magic occult threats. Their chilling missions will take them across the globe and pit them against apocalyptic cults, cursed relics and supernatural terrorists bent on world destruction.

The edition includes the first three books plus a bonus novella. Experience a series that listeners are describing as a perfect mix of action-adventure and paranormal horror.

Damnation Code (book one)

After a decade spent fighting the enemy abroad and keeping his country safe, Delta Force Operator Mark Talon is ready to settle down with the love of his life. But Talon's world crumbles when his fiancée becomes the victim of a murderous cult. The military man now has a new foe in his crosshairs, and this promises to be a very different war.

The person responsible for his beloved's death is a Silicon Valley tycoon allied with the forces of darkness. Fusing cutting-edge computer technology with an ancient evil, the enemy here cannot be stopped by bullets alone. If Talon is to be victorious in his mission of vengeance, he will need to master a new method of warfare - the arcane arts! He must become...the Occult Assassin.

Apocalypse Soldier (book two)

At age 15, Nicole Robertson was possessed by a demonic entity. She survived this ordeal, thanks to a successful exorcism. Now, eight years later, Nicole is still haunted by the memory of the demon. But the nightmare isn't over. She is about to become the target of an apocalyptic cult led by a former elite soldier with a chilling plan for her future.

Only one man can save Nicole from a fate worse than death.

Only one man stands between her and the apocalypse.

His name is Mark Talon. And he is about to go up against his most dangerous enemy yet.

Spirit Breaker (book three)

The former Delta Force Operator must confront an evil psychic cult leader and the spectral forces of the afterlife that he commands. Fortunately Casca's SPIRIT BREAKER program has been developing cutting-edge technology engineered to combat ghosts. A terrifying battle between the living and the dead awaits.

Ice Shadows (bonus novella)

Talon heads to Norway to stop a Black Metal musician who plans on using an ancient Norse ritual to trigger a frozen cataclysm.

"Buffy the Vampire Slayer meets James Patterson"
What did you love best about Occult Assassin: Dark Missions (Books 1-3)?

I liked the high sound quality. It was very professionally done. This book contains four quality occult action stories--Damnation Code, Apocalypse Soldier, Ice Shadows, and Spirit Breaker. This series is full of well-written scenes. One memorable scene was the way the Satanic cult murdered Talon's fiance with a stun-gun and knives.

What other book might you compare Occult Assassin: Dark Missions (Books 1-3) to and why?

These books are like a cross between the t.v. show "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" and any book by James Patterson. The occult theme, special ancient spiritual weapons, the computers being a medium to pass on evil curses and the constant struggle against dark forces are reminiscent of the Buffy series. The action and suspense remind me of Patterson's story telling style.

Have you listened to any of James Foster’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

No, but this he gave a great performance and this was a high quality production.

If you could take any character from Occult Assassin: Dark Missions (Books 1-3) out to dinner, who would it be and why?

I would take Nicole, the demon possessed girl to a very fancy, up-scale restaurant because it would be interesting to see the waiters reaction to her animal growls and the claws of the beasts trying to escape her stomach.

    Any additional comments?

This is a solid series. It contains graphic scenes of violence. I received this book free in exchange for an honest review.

"A Very Cool Idea For A Series."
    Any additional comments?

First off, this audio book was provided by the narrator at no cost in exchange for an honest review, courtesy of Audio Book Blast.

With that said, here is Occult Assassin’s recipe: Start with two very different guys with very different skill sets. One is a retired special ops military soldier. The other is a billionaire with connections and knowledge to go with his money. Add in tragic suffering by way of the loss of loved ones. Twist it with the unexpected realization that the loss was at the hands of a cult with a direct connection to a supernatural demonic force and you have a series that is off and running. Each mission, (novella), deals with a variation on this theme with world domination and or an apocalypse as the stakes if the bad guys win.

James Foster narrates/performs the audio for this series and I’m so glad. I didn’t know Mr. Fosters work before I tried “Occult Assassin: Dark Missions.” Now I’m very aware of his work and even have some other books performed by him. As far as I’m concerned, I think he is among the top narrators/voice actors working in the field.

Finally, “Occult Assassin: Dark Missions” is an omnibus edition that contains the first three novellas by William Massa and a bonus short story. If dark paranormal, action/horror stories fit in your wheel house, then you can’t go wrong with this omnibus edition.

"Highly recommend for thriller lovers! :)"

I'm very impressed with this author! This series is so fast paced, and is full of non-stop action. I honestly feel like each book was better than the last, which is not something that happens often. Talon was a strong main character, and as the series progressed a couple other characters brought more to the story. I loved Adira in the third book! I listened to the audiobook version of the three books, including two novellas. James Foster was the narrator throughout them all, and he is amazing. His voice was perfect for this series. There seems to be one more book out in the series, but is not yet available as an audiobook. When it is released on audio, I will definitely listen to it as well.

"Lots of action and excellent narration"

Occult Assassin: Dark Missions Omnibus edition includes the first 3 books in the OA series with an additional 2 bonus shorts and clocks in at just under 15 hours. To be honest, I wasn’t too sure about this one when I first started. I had not read any Massa previously and the premise seemed like it may be a little urban fantasy heavy. Luckily for me there was plenty of action to hold my attention throughout and the narration was excellent, which really added to the overall enjoyment and ambiance of the story. A fast moving and well done series.

I received a copy of this audiobook from the narrator James Foster in exchange for an honest review.

"The Demons Messed with the Wrong Man"

Take a military man who loses what's dearest to him and then give him an enemy he can retaliate against! Add a billionaire benefactor and you have a great formula for an interesting series. Mark Talon starts out a near perfect human being and ends up being a flawed, determined hero that will save anyone from his fiance's fate, if he possibly can.

There is much to recommend this series and I enjoyed these books. I enjoyed them more than I thought I would. I am a fan of science fiction and fantasy but I haven't read much about the occult before. My only wishes for this author is to stay away from love scenes (the one in the first book was not well written) and to add more of the occult background detail into his books. As a reader, I want to learn from the books I read and these books are about the occult. For me, I would enjoy them even more if there was more education on the occult, specifically about each type of demon or ghost Mark Talon is up against and how to defeat each one.

The Damnation Code was unique to me because of the added dimension of a demon being coded into existence. It seemed to be the most fully developed story with the Apocalypse Soldier my second favorite as Nicole had a well developed back story. I hope to see Nicole, the priest, and the FBI agent team up with Talon again in future stories.

James Foster's narration was spot on and made this series fun to listen to because he did a great job. I enjoyed the way he separated Talon's voice from Casca's so I always knew who was speaking and he didn't reach for female voices.

I received this audiobook for free in exchange for an honest review.

If you could sum up Occult Assassin: Dark Missions (Books 1-3) in three words, what would they be?

    Extremely good read.

What did you like best about this story?

Long time fan of this genre, the inclusion of a commando against the occult was brilliant.

Have you listened to any of James Foster’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I've never heard James Foster before but he does stellar reading. Great in the car on my way to work. I hope he returns for the other books in this series.

Who was the most memorable character of Occult Assassin: Dark Missions (Books 1-3) and why?

Simon Casca was a brilliant straight man that was basically the eyes in the sky. Great partner for the soldier.

    Any additional comments?

I really hope books 4,5,6 are combined into a huge audiobook.

"James Bond starts hunting the occult - cool!"
Where does Occult Assassin: Dark Missions (Books 1-3) rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

Great. Book one instantly engaged me with the Main Character, Mark Talon, our Delta-force trained hero. The rest of the books cemented him as a great main character.

What other book might you compare Occult Assassin: Dark Missions (Books 1-3) to, and why?

Think of all your action hero's, the ones that you really like and then mix in a bit of a private detector who needs to figure out what's going on and put a stop to it and then cover it with the occult. This is the treat that you are in for. Lots of story and lots of action. Great!

Which scene did you most enjoy?

I can't really answer that as we have three books here. But Mark is a great character to take drive the different scenarios within each book. We then have some really brilliant supporting characters and enemies in each of the books as well.

If you made a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

It takes a great warrior to fight the war against darkness
