Publisher's summary

This is a full-length, 115,000-word novel and is the first book in the Knitting in the City series.

There are three things you need to know about Janie Morris:

  1. She is incapable of engaging in a conversation without volunteering TMTI (too much trivial information), especially when she is unnerved;
  2. No one unnerves her more than Quinn Sullivan; and
  3. She doesn't know how to knit.

After losing her boyfriend, apartment, and job in the same day, Janie Morris can't help wondering what new torment fate has in store. To her utter mortification, Quinn Sullivan—a.k.a. Sir McHotpants—witnesses it all then keeps turning up like a pair of shoes you lust after but can't afford. The last thing she expects is for Quinn—the focus of her slightly, albeit harmless, stalkerish tendencies—to make her an offer she can't refuse.

Great funny romance

I have read this book twice already and when I saw it on audible I had to hear it. I really liked the narrator and of course I love all of penny Reid’s stories

Hey nerds this romance is about you

I wasn’t expecting to run across a heroine who was nearly exactly like me but it was honestly a treasure. Thank you for writing her. This book was unexpected and a lot more fun than I was expecting.

Fun romance.

I enjoyed the writing and the narration was really good. However, I found the heroine incredibly annoying. I recognize she had Asperger's or some other condition causing her to behave in a socially awkward fashion, but it was cringeworthy, at times. Anyway, it was a sweet story oversll.

this story makes me impatient

This story is impatient. Realistically, this girl would have zero friends and would be likely in residential care. Epic intelligence does not equal social intelligence and the ability to navigate society. Romance books like this make light of a real problem and imply that she is "fixable."

Sweet Easy Read

Easy listening with an uncomplicated plot. Everyone fit in the stereotypical boxes, and the sex scenes were on point.

Like it when the nerdy girl hooks up with her rich boss/billionaire? Do you like devotion on sight between characters? How about ex gets put in his place by billionaire boyfriend? This book has all of that.

Delightful read

Having never read this author, I wasn’t sure what to expect from this novel, but I am definitely going to be reading the rest of the series. The author really inhabited the FMC and although we only got her perspective throughout, she was still able to give the MMC humanity in such a taciturn portrait. I generally am used to dual perspective in romances, so there was definitely much more to discover without it. Compelling, but pretty clean romance scenes with just beginning kisses and fade to black.

Great story. I love how we get to go along woth the 2 main characters as they get to know each other. This is the kind of sory that keeps a romantic like me filled with hope.

Cat and Mouse

When you’re the three when you’re the mouse he won of three sisters you never think that someone would ever want you because you’ve never had anybody bring out the inquisitiveness of you they always think that you’re a brainiac or that you’re weird when you finally find someone who wants and engages in your weirdness you become quite flustered and don’t really know how to act until all the dots lineup and you realize that maybe you’re not the mousy one
