Publisher's summary

Two children from Sierra Leone, Liberty and A’shai, are brought together by chance, only to be forced apart by the most inevitable and tragic fate. Ashley & JaQuavis bring us this classic love story set against modern life’s most horrifying realities.

Liberty is dying of a fatal heart condition, though she desperately wants to survive until her 25th birthday, when her sister has promised to visit her. A’shai blames himself for not protecting Liberty, but all Liberty asks is for A’shai to tell her a story, to help her remember what brought them to this point. He knows that this is the last story he will ever tell—and the last she will ever hear.

As Liberty lies dying, A’shai walks her through their past, reliving their ill-fated journeys through the streets. Their story will take them from an arranged marriage, through Mexico’s drug cartel, child brothels, and hustling in Detroit, to escaping the high-powered heads of LA’s underworld. But ultimately, this is a story of love and redemption that will leave you breathless from the unpredictable and mind-blowing ending.

Bana- Didn't think I was going to like. I loved it

When I select a book, I only read the introduction and lessen the sample; no reviews, no researching the author.I do not want any pre-expectations. I'm not one to like black storylines. I can't readily relate to their struggles'. I have tried lessening to several in the pass, but was put off by the terminology. much of the slang I have a hard time following. I know that to understand a culture you have to understand thier art. A culture's history is in thier stories, song and pictures. I took me three days to get pass the first 5 or so chapters. I knew that there was something to this book. I was not disappointed. Before I knew it, I was crying, and looking for book two. They are cliff hangers' books. You must get all three books. They are not a letdown in anyway. Being on a fixed income the Plus membership, affords me the opportunity to explore new authors. Without that I may not have gotten to enjoy the first two book, let alone use my monthly credit for the last

3rd Time Listening...

A & J + CH = Epic.

It is so very easy to become fully immersed into the worlds created reality, sculpted by A & J, and presented by CH. It was a very fun ride that left me thirsty for more! Good thing this is only Part 1! I've already listened to the entire trilogy, but still enjoy it so much, that I can go from start to finish, all over again.

I enjoyed this book very deep...

This book was deep and hood all in one. It teaches others how to move in the streets. Also how to always have faith and loyalty...

DON'T MISS OUT ON A MASTERPIECE

Where does Murderville rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

I'll have to say 1.75. The Gideon series by Eric Jerome Dickey is still my #1 series.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Murderville?

When A'Sai's mom, Willow, was taken fron him. That question is a migraine due there being so many.

Have you listened to any of Cary Hite’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

This is my 1st listen to Cary Hite. He is a narrator that will have me follow his work which will introduce me to other authors.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Without a doubt this book was mind blowing. The thrill and action of the street had me grinning and jumping. The drama that A'Shai and Liberty went through from beginning to end had me so mesmerized.

Any additional comments?

I went out into the field looking for a book to read. Murderville 3 kept being mentioned and how everyone is waiting for it to be released. The 1st one didn't catch my attention but w/ Ashley and JaQuavis being one of my favs I finally gave in. The. book was so good I read it in one day and then went and listened to the unabridged version. I had to turn my phone off both when reading and listening to it b/c my trance kept being broken. Like a good movie the narrator, Cary Hite, sparked their masterpiece. Get ready to be put into another world.
