Coffee lady never fails to deliver!

I'm always fascinated with the stories at the end when the mystery is unraveled and one can't put the book down. Plus Claire continues to talk coffee in between, or Mocha in this case and one feels like in a 360° word picture. Love the series.

Great except for the rape scene

Yes, probably just me, but that one scene soured the story for me. I wasn't even necessary in the story line. Yes, the girl eventually stops objecting and it's excused as both being drugged; and it is later explained as a dream. The rest of the tale was the quality you'd expect: intricate plot, good writing and great narration. But - overall, I didn't enjoy it. However, if you don't object to the scene or even, maybe, relish it, than you'll enjoy the book.

Addictive!

The characters of this series are so easily loved and cheered for. The narrator is the perfect cherry on top! I find myself sneaking in as much extra listening time as possible!

One of the Best in the Series so Far...Loved it

I'm listening to the books in order and a few took me a bit to get hooked in but this one got me from the beginning and kept my interest all the way through. I thought I had it figured out and thought this would be the first I figured out before she exposed the murderer but nope, a surprise again lol Loved this book, I'd say it's my favorite so far! I know some others aren't crazy about the occasional love scenes but I like the change of pace and the relationship growing here. A little steam in a book isn't a bad thing at all :)

Coffee, chocolate and murder!!

If terrific coffee drinks were not enough, the. Village Blend Coffee shop in New York has decided to team up with a superb chocolate company to market a new blend guaranteed to get the romantic juices flowing. Clare, the store's manager, is not convinced that this is a great idea but the store's owner, Madame, also Clare's mother in law, has already set the deal up with one of her long time friends--Alicia. But when the event to publicize the product brings Alicia running to Clare's hotel room because of a dead body in her bed, Clare really knows mischief is stalking this product.

Someone is definitely trying to defeat the start of this new product as more bodies appear. There is also something suspiciously wrong with this new blend. Could there be an illegal substance hidden within this new yummy drink? Clare and all the usual characters from these coffee house mysteries team up again to find the culprit. Clare and her daughter are also becoming more involved with their love interests--both policeman. This time, the police department is having problems of it's own.

Always fun and intriguingly involved with coffee facts and New York life, once again the Cleo Coyle husband and wife team have created a fascinating cozy mystery filled with recipes! The personal lives of the characters become more and more involved with every book, but the mystery always drives each story. I find that the audio version of these books really adds drama to already excellent books.
