Clare's Village Blend coffee beans are being used to create a new java love potion: a "Mocha Magic Coffee," billed as an aphrodisiac. The product, expected to rake in millions, will be sold exclusively on Aphrodite's Village, one of the most popular online communities for women. But at its launch, one of the website's editors is murdered. Clare is convinced a bitter killer wants the secret formula. Can she catch who's gone loco for mocha?

Probably not as I'll listen to the next in the series.
The storyline about Madame and her experiences. The Greek mythology references. Less Joy in the storyline!
The gripping tale that Madame told.
It didn't make me laugh or cry but I couldn't put it down.
The narrator Rebecca Gibel is amazing. She has a distinct voice for each of the characters. What an amazing narrator!
Love the base characters a few too mm any side characters this time but I'm not sure what other reviewers are complaining about. drug stories are always a little off the beaten path
Everyone of Cleo Coyle's Coffeehouse Mysteries keep me guessing right to the very end. Love this series!! Can't wait to read the next one!!
I like to listen to audiobooks while doing the housework and this one wasn't apt for much more. I haven't listened to any other books in this series and I'm not sure I would. The almost silly amount of coffee talk made the main characters seem quite shallow, like nothing in the world was more important then the brew!
This is a good writer, but she ruined this book with multiple subplots and needless complications. Also, she uses long-winded explication scenes, which annoy me.
Having said that, it's excellent fun for foodies and coffee addicts, and the core cast are very enjoyable characters. The reader is excellent.
A believable story, better written characters, a consistency editor, an editor in general ...
- the police doesn't include civilians in their investigations if they can avoid it. They don't share information about ongoing cases, they don't let civilians question the criminals, etc ... highly irritating.
- Claire repeatedly says she's not happy with her bodyshape (too much curves, not at all perfect, blabla) - but the bodybuilder guy at the ICE mistakes her for a fitness model?
- All of the protagonists switch between self-assured and completely insecure, without warning.
- Claire confides to Matteo that she spied on her daughter for all of her adolescence - not ok.
I could go on and on, but this book probably shouldn't have been published in the first place.
I don't know if there is anything she could have done, other than not write this book.
The narrator has a good voice, good pronunciation, she was easy to understand and follow and it's not her fault that the book is an utter waste of time and money.
Where to start ... Alicia, Maya, Aphrodite, all the very bitchy arrogant "ladies" that behave like total lunatics. Oh wait, then I'd have to cut Claire too - who walks into a trap like this without informing the police?? "come alone, only you will be admittet" - yeah sure ...
I bought this in the "this is the first of a series" sale - in fact is book number 10 in this series, which accounts for some of the confusion at the start of the book.
Audible addicted love mystery, lately stuck on love story. Mother of 1 Labrador and 1 perfect man. Work way too hard, and so ready to be retired
Cleo is great she does the voices great but the story is starting to bore me before the end
