If you enjoyed Me Before You by JoJo Moyes, One Day by David Nicholls, or The Notebook by Nicholas Sparks, then make time for Kelly Rimmer's stunning, heartbreaking new audiobook, Me Without You. A story of how love can break our hearts - and heal them.
A year ago I met the love of my life. For two people who didn't believe in love at first sight, we came pretty close.
Lilah MacDonald - beautiful, opinionated, stubborn and all kinds of wonderful in ways that words could never quite capture. The woman who taught me to live again.
My Lilah, who gave me so much and yet kept from me a secret that she knew would break my heart.
My name is Callum Roberts, and this is our story.
Me Without You is an audiobook to make you smile, bring you to tears and remind you to hold on tightly to those you love.

I really cared about the two main characters. However the story seemed to have numerous details about other characters that slowed the narrative unnecessarily. I wish I had known before I bought this audiobook that the narrator had a strong Australian accent. Because I have a hearing loss, I had difficulty understanding some of it as an American who rarely hears that accent. Since this story was told mostly from the male character's point of view, I think the narration would have been more effective if there had been a male narrator instead. The writing was very realistic, making it easy for me to get engrossed in the story.
"Well written and beautifully read"
Beautiful, sad and life affirming. If you want to laugh, cry, then go out and make the most of life, perhaps this book is for you. Keep the tissues handy.
Very thought provoking! Enjoyed the narration. Would like to read more from this author. Thank you.
"Trite predictable rubbish"
Totally predictable, trite rubbish. I endlessly rolled my eyes throughout. The characters were so one dimensional. I kept hoping it would get better because it had so many good reviews and was compared to Us by David Nichols which I loved. I wish I hadn't persisted with it to the end. It never improved and doesn't hold a candle to 'Us'. I found both the story and the performance to be woeful. Would give zero stars if I could. Utter disappointment.
my first audio book and I loved every minute. Great story which made me cry, but it was a beautiful story of love and life.
Struggling to find words to describe this story of love and illness. Very emotional and so well written.
"Brought me to tears"
What a fantastically read book!
It brought me to tears.
I loved it. Would make a great movie!!!
Very sad it's finished 😪😪
"Exceptional writing "
I didn't have any expectations for this book. I assumed it would pass the time on some long walks. However it was incredible. The writing was superb and I totally felt the emotions of the characters. I wept at one stage. I was carried along with the story and although the ending was inevitable, it didn't detract from the story.
Beautiful written. Well read. Great book.
"Great to send you to sleep"
This book was suggested to me based on my interest in 'Me before you'. Yes, the titles are very similar but that's where the similarities end. The book, with no help from the narrator was dreary and boring from the beginning. The characters were entirely unlikable and for this reason I didn't feel fell any emotion through listening to this book but frustration.
Nothing like this, hopefully
The announcement of each chapter was very loud and excited. Completely distracting from the end of the previous chapter. SO much so that when I knew it was coming I would have to turn my volume down.
The first half of the book and the majority of Lila's unnecessary chapters.
This book is beautifully written, the characters feel very real and it's a lovely love story- if a very weepy one!!
Great characters and a moving story. Although a little predictable
Personally I would have preferred a male narrater for the male
Character. I think the author has great potential I hope she
Writes lots more with happy endings
