A Texas hero....
Being from Texas and always dreaming about cattle herding and big sprawling ranches this book meant a lot to me. The descriptions of the cowboys and the way they looked, talked and worked the herd was so vivid, so real in my mind. Not sure I’ve read a book recently that never used a cuss word or detailed the love between a man and a woman. It was a breath of fresh air and I enjoyed every minute. I felt good after listening to the story of Matt Henry and realized this was a true Texas hero. If you want a feel good story narrated by a great voice please get this book. You won’t regret it.

The narrator knocked it out of the park!
This western started out as standard fare, so much so that I almost stopped listening after the first hour...and yet, something still hooked me into the listen. The narrator, Gene Engene, makes a western come alive! Although this is not Louis L'Amour (not even close), I will still listen to another from Dusty Rhodes, but only if it is narrated by Gene Engene.

Nice predictable western for comfort food.
What made the experience of listening to Man Hunter the most enjoyable?
The reader was really on target with most all of his voices. Extremely believable.

Yes, its relaxing and a decent story.

I thought it was good and would have liked some more depth. I'd pass on the whole bible references although I'm sure the character was a believer. I just think it was very good but superficial in some ways.
