Terrific Book
Rehvenge has never been one of my favorite characters in the Black Dagger Brotherhood series, so I was surprised that I liked this book so much. Rehv is dealing with a plot to kill Wrath, the on-going blackmail from the Symphath princess with the possibility of his symphath identity being revealed, and his love for Ehlena, a nurse at Havers' clinic. We learn a lot about Rehv and what makes him tick. The romance between him and Ehlena and the revelation that he is a Symphath is well-written and interesting.
Other stories are advanced, including Wrath & Beth, Tohr, and Xhex & John Matthew. I loved this story and I'm ready to read the next book in the series; but it looks like I'll have to wait a whole year. My rating: 5 Stars.
2023 Re-read: I'm re-reading the series, this time by audiobook. I'm surprised that I forgot so much of this story. So much happens in this book. Along with Rehv and Elena's romance, many story threads were advanced, setting up the next book in the series. As usual, Jim Frangione's narration was perfect for this series. My rating is still 5 Stars.

More than Vampire books
I've enjoyed these books, even though the explicit sex discriptiins can be too much for some you can fast forward , The stories are interesting with well developed characters, bumor and subplots. I strongly suggest you start with the 1st book and continue in order or you can get lost in the number of characters with similar names .

One of the best in the series
Lover Avenged is one of the best in the series so far. But the editing was horrible. The worst editing I’ve ever listened to. It’s good this isn’t the first in the series because the poor edits were so jarring I would have stopped after a few chapters.

I know to trust the author...
I was both unsure and excited for Rhev's book. I was not sure how J.R. would "redeem" Rhev given his various business "interests". I had always kind of liked Rhevenge, liked his interactions with the Brothers, but didn't love him. I never should have questioned it. Rhev has been redeemed in a way fitting for Rhev and I more than like him now...and am looking forward to seeing how things play out in future books.

Strong Females!!
I have read this book more times than I can count. This was the first time I listened to the audible version and I loved it. Each time I take away something different about the leaf male character. This time it was all about the females and I loved it. Just in time for Women’s International Day. Strong women saving good, flawed males. Lover Avenged!
