The sun is shining in the quiet little seaside town of Sandybridge.
Sandybridge is the perfect English seaside town: home to gift shops, tearooms and a fabulous fish and chip shop. And it's home to Grace - although right now she's not too happy about it.
Grace grew up in Sandybridge, helping her parents sort junk from vintage treasures, but she always longed to escape to a bigger world. And she made it, travelling the world for her job, falling in love and starting a family. So why is she back in the tiny seaside town she'd long left behind, hanging out with Charlie, the boy who became her best friend when they were teenagers?
It turns out that travelling the world may not have been exactly what Grace needed to do. Perhaps everything she wanted has always been at home - after all, they do say that's where the heart is....

Really enjoyed this book from Ali McNamara a great book to relax with. The setting was perfect I felt I was actually in a seaside village love most of her books.
Although I haven't read it in print, I think the audiobook is inspiring me to do so, just in case I missed some details in the mystery of Remy.
I honestly don't know...it's that unique.
She has a pleasant voice, and didn't over-do any of the voices. I would buy more books narrated by her.
I highly recommend this story. I bought it for the predictable feel-good romance, and I ended up getting so much more. I had to stay up all night listening, mainly trying to figure out the mystery surrounding the letters. In the end, the mystery is only partly solved, and yet that is the most perfect ending. I also loved all the characters, and was surprised by the amount of depth and honest emotion in this story, especially in the mother-daughter relationship.
Love love love Ali McNamara and her fanciful style but all the time travel in this left me a little baffled. The story jumps around in time throughout and I'm not sure there's need to, it would have been a lovely story anyway. I did enjoy it though and would recommend to fans.
"A beautiful story"
A really beautifully written book, enjoyed every minute from start to end with lots of twist along the way.
"Easy listening but predictable..."
Nice story but utterly predictable from the start. Main character irritated me frequently throughout and most of the characters were just too stereotypical. In saying that though, I enjoyed it all the same. Easy listening for my lengthy commute!
Really enjoyable story. Read it at the poolside. Amazing!!! I was born in a house opposite a lighthouse so meant a lot to me.
