it's good....But

just an fyi this is a great book if you like the Joe Ledger series...BUT, this book is a combination of the short stories in the Joe Ledger series so if you bought the short stories in between the main books, know this is just a combination of those stories and if you did already buy them this will be a waste of money. if you didn't buy the short stories between the main books....BUY this one because it includes them all

New genre for me

I listened to this because of the narrator Ray Porter. He is such a marvelous story teller That for me, I think he could read the phonebook and it would be interesting. But I actually really enjoyed listening to these short stories and has given me another author to pursue. I really enjoy audible books.

I DON'T WANT TO KILL YOU,

AND YOU DON'T WANT TO BE DEAD.
First, read the Publishers Summary for the list of stories. Many of these are sold separately and you may already own them. I had bought one, but still bought the collection anyways. It saves money to buy the collection, instead of one at a time. HE KNEW MY VIEW ON HESITATION, DON'T.

These stories range from good to excellent and are all about Joe Ledger. If you have not read Maberry this is a good place to start and if you have read him, you will love these even more.
The first story may be confusing, as it is more of an excerpt, then a story. Most of it is actually chapter three of Patient Zero and stops just before the best chapter in the book. One story even connects Ledger to the Pine Deep trilogy.

Ray Porter and Jonathan Maberry go together like John Scalzi and Wil Wheaton, a perfect match.

As always, Mayberry and Ray Porter rock !

What did you love best about Joe Ledger: The Missing Files?

Filled the gaps. Ghost was introduced. Always wondered how a cat person switched to a Dog. It was a bit unconventional.

What did you like best about this story?

Narration.

What about Ray Porter’s performance did you like?

The narration is really, really in-the-place thing. I felt i was living the character.

Who was the most memorable character of Joe Ledger: The Missing Files and why?

When Joe was surprised about the killer.

Any additional comments?

Keep it up Ray Porter.

Fantastic!

These five stories from the world of Joe Ledger were all very good. Also Ray Porter was the perfect choice to be the reader. I am really becoming a fan of Jonathan Maberry. Totally recommend.

Love Maberry & Porter Together

What made the experience of listening to Joe Ledger: The Missing Files the most enjoyable?

I like the short stories/in between stories. I made a point to get them all together in this one book vs buying them all separately.

Have you listened to any of Ray Porter’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I have listened to Porter's narration work before. I think he is extremely talented and is wonderfully suited to voice Maberry's Joe Ledger and co.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

Not sure, but I would love it if they had a Joe Ledger movie.

Four out of five!

Great reading and the stories are full of details one story out of five didn't grab me. The last two, for me, were fantastic!

1st Exposure to Jonathan Maberry / Ghost Enters

Loved and enjoyed the whole read. Narration was great. A favorite moment was Ghost pissing on grave! Do dogs experience contempt? Ghosts "handler" has much to learn about hounds 🤭 Theirs is a new partnership. I no doubt Ghost will be a stellar teacher. I look forward to watching them as a team - partners develop.
