Publisher's summary

I’ve lost it. :( The only thing in the world I wasn’t supposed to lose. My engagement ring. It’s been in Magnus’s family for three generations. And now the very same day his parents are coming, I’ve lost it. The very same day! Do not hyperventilate, Poppy. Stay positive :) !!

Poppy Wyatt has never felt luckier. She is about to marry her ideal man, Magnus Tavish, but in one afternoon her “happily ever after” begins to fall apart. Not only has she lost her engagement ring in a hotel fire drill but in the panic that follows, her phone is stolen. As she paces shakily around the lobby, she spots an abandoned phone in a trash can. Finders keepers! Now she can leave a number for the hotel to contact her when they find her ring. Perfect!

Well, perfect except that the phone’s owner, businessman Sam Roxton, doesn’t agree. He wants his phone back and doesn’t appreciate Poppy reading his messages and wading into his personal life.

What ensues is a hilarious and unpredictable turn of events as Poppy and Sam increasingly upend each other’s lives through emails and text messages. As Poppy juggles wedding preparations, mysterious phone calls, and hiding her left hand from Magnus and his parents . . . she soon realizes that she is in for the biggest surprise of her life.

loved the audio book even more than the hardbound

It's so refreshing and convenient hearing the narrator read the story for me. I especially loved her British accent which is very apt since the setting is based in the UK, I think 🤔 Having an audio book is cool as I have my personal reader to lull me to sleep , listen inside the plane with my earphones on and it totally reduces the strain in my eyes that reading does. 🥰 love it!!!!!!

Love the Narrator

Cute charming story - sort of an updated version of "You've Got Mail". Jayne Entwistle was the perfect narrator for the heroine - and think she should do more of the Kinsella books. Really enjoyed this book.

Poppy displeases

The plot is what you would expect from a Sophie K novel and for that I can recommend the book, however please note the changes in her base character are vast from her usual women. Normally I love Sophie's strong female leads who are comically whimsy while remaining realistically independent and awesome. However I am highly disappointed in Poppy who crosses the line into dumb bimbo and annoying.

Excellent!

Where does I've Got Your Number rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

My favorite books.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Poppy, a character well formed. Sometimes I just felt like hugging her. She is like a little bubbly girl with a very positive energy. But like any human, she is not perfect and you could also notice her flaws, which make her more realistic.

What about Jayne Entwistle’s performance did you like?

My congrats to the Narrator, Jayne Entwistle, who has a great capacity to mix on different voices and accents quit quickly. You could definitely feel the variety of the characters voices and get quit accustom of the different characters.

Any additional comments?

I would completely recommend this book is you want to have a good, non-cheesy Rom-Com. I could not get my ears unplugged from this audiobook.
The characters are very real and the story is so familiar to reality.
Highly recommended for a nice weekend. (And a glass of wine)

Funny

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes, it was silly...and yes, it's hard to believe...but it's cute and funny and takes your mind off the real world!
