    "Fantastic listening experience"

It was great to see that a recommendation to Audible resulted in this story's addition to the Audible collection. This is a beautiful book which is, on the one hand, a meditation on faith and the clash of cultures, and on the other, a suspenseful and a painful testament to history whereby a First Nations people tries to hold on to the old ways in the face of the inevitable advancement of modern life and culture.

I remember while driving home from a family vacation hanging on to every word as the story reached its conclusion. My hope being that we wouldn't reach our destination before the story ended. I highly recommend this book with its terrific narration. It draws you into the world and characters with compassion and simplicity.

Tell us about yourself! I am a retired Lab Supervisor/Director. I worked 31 years in the Indian Health Service in Montana, Arizona, Oklahoma, and South Dakota, with 22 of those years in Montana. This has become home, and I've retired here.

    Story
    "This should be a classic!"
What made the experience of listening to I Heard the Owl Call My Name the most enjoyable?

This is one of my favorite books. It should be a classic.
This book takes the reader to a time and place that
Few of us have seen or imagined.

What did you like best about this story?

This story gives a picture of a culture that is far
Different from ours. It seems that time itself
Slows and we get a glimpse of a different value
System, traditions, and way of life.

Have you listened to any of Frank Muller’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I have not listened to his performance before this.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

I did listen to it all in one sitting!

    Any additional comments?

Highly recommended. It may be useful in
    A school curriculum.

    "Uncanny insight..."

    Diane Goodall
    I love this story.
It has given me a desire to treat others with a grace and respect beyond my previous understanding. What the characters said was very engaging. The author also made me aware of the importance of what the individuals refrained from saying or doing.
I thank the author for her inspired ability to teach while rendering an entertaining and beautifully written book. You will be better for having read it.
