Very enjoyable, interesting and inspiring

I enjoyed hearing the diverse backgrounds and accompanying problems of the women in this novel. It's always good to learn that we all have problems even if they don't show to most people who see us everyday. It was interesting to learn how they worked through and continued to work through their particular problems. It was also interesting to delve into the background of one particular character that while intelligent and talented, was willing to withstand on-going abuse- always perplexing behavior to people on the outside. Other backgrounds of these women also interested me, such as alcohol and abuse and poverty and how they felt, how it affected their lives and how they got through it. Many more women interesting characters and issues- too many to include here! Well written and interesting enough to keep me coming back until I finished. Thanks- to the author and Audible!

Touching end

It was a hard book to listen to a bit slow to start. But, the ending was sweet, heartwarming and unpredictable. There were times I had to repeat chapters as I missed part of the story, I am glad I did not give up on this based on the ending.

House on Olive Street

I am definitely a Robyn Carr reader. I love her stories!
But this one took me a little longer to get into. I almost past on it. But I'm glad I didn't.
I really enjoyed this story.
There are many layers to her characters. And once she started to open up these layers her characters blossomed for me. Wow! Then it got Good!
Thank you for another great book.
I'm a big audiobook listener.
Christina Moore did a very good job as narrator.

Wonderful read…

Really loved the story and how well it held together to the end. We should all have a group of “sisters” who can make our lives complete in so many ways.

Loved the story - not so much the narrator.

Robyn Carr doesn't deal with torture and really grotesque murder. I love her characters but I felt this narrator did a horrible job with the male voices. She made them totally without feeling and I didn't appreciate it. This won't deter me from future Robyn Carr stories. I only discovered her a few months ago and I read all of the Virgin River stories. They're light and they offer the perfect escape that I long for with these books.

Wonderful story!

If you can get through the beginning, you will probably love this book. It’s a wonderful story about 4 very different women, who were all writers, coming together during a time of loss of one of their mutual friends, who was also a writer.

To me, I thought the women sounded much older than they were. Most sounded like old women, and they weren’t. I love Robyn Carr and her narrators are almost always perfect. I just thought they sounded quite old. The 43 year old sounded more like a 75 year old. That gives your mind a picture of a lady much older. I have a 43 year old daughter who sounds so much younger.

If you purchase this book, I know you will enjoy it very much, just as I did. It’s very entertaining and sometimes quite funny.

A BOOK FOR EVERY WOMAN.

Loved it. Every woman should read or listen to this book. When it first started I didn't think I would like it. But it is an awesome book. The narrator was spot on.
