It was a good book, but it would have been nice to know it was a re-release before I wasted a credit on a book that I had already read!
Wish i had known this was a book that was also written by J D Robb, Nora Robert's alter ego. I wasted one of my credits on a book that i had already purchased. Unfortunately, i waited too long to look at it to return it. Audible needs to have a better description and note that duplicate books and duplicate authors are available and the names of both disclosed. The book is a great read. I love Susan Ericksen!! Her narration is fantastic and I love the changes in her voice for each character especially. Peabody and McNab. Roarke and Summerset are great and all the Irish friends that pop up. Can't wait for the next book in the In Death series!!!!
I love Nora Roberts books and this is an old favorite. I read this book years ago but really enjoyed the audible version. Susan Ericksen is and excellent narrator and I search for books read by her. She made Ms. Roberts characters come to life.
Life-long reader, 10 years listening
This is a stronger story than the second half/sequel, Big Jack. Susan Ericksen is such a good narrator.
I would recommend this book to a friend and have. It was very absorbing. I couldn't put it down. I resented having to do household chores that would take me away from the story.
Nora Roberts has a way of fleshing out her characters so that I could picture them with ease. The narrator was fabulous changing voices and speech cadence so that the story flowed. Loved it!
An avid reader and listener with eclectic tastes... One unifying them is my love of humor, mystery and great narration.
This was good to listen to on my commute to work. Short and interesting in true Nora style. Worth a purchase.
This is a good book with a pleasant narrational experience. Nora creates another tale worthy of holding the readers attention.
The story is a cute romance with some interesting twists, but the narrator is great as usual.
