Hideaway
Vassago (I heard Massago?) is the most singularly evil character I have encountered in a long while. Delicious. Carol Cowen's Regina was perfect. Last quarter of the book seemed to drag on a bit, and I was hoping for a more painful end for the villain.

The storyline became a little too predictable. The characters were poorly developed and didn't seem to behave like real people would. The author kept referring to characters that are well established in the storyline as if they were being introduced for the first time and it drove me crazy.

Captivating!
The “precocious” one made me laugh out loud. That’s hard to do. You feel for the characters and it’s a pleasure to read or hear. There is an interview with the author afterwards. I never listen to those. I did this time. It made me like the author even more. All around entertaining book!

Very good
I like it! You think you know where it’s headed. But, then you don’t. And it simply is all of the things Dean Koontz, says he likes to write! Suspense, love, mystery! Job well done! Great read or listen!

Yes the story in so very engrossing and change of narrators is refreshing.
