Lying low, working in a wildlife park, she reclaims her sanity amid the crocodile pens and snake cages by visualising herself as a media creation; a woman of mystery, a woman overcoming the odds. Her only links with the outside world are two men: her father, a controversial anthropologist famed for discovering the ancient remains of "the first modern woman", and her nemesis, her stalker.
