Publisher's summary

The world will end on Saturday. Next Saturday. Just before dinner, according to The Nice and Accurate Prophecies of Agnes Nutter, Witch, the world's only completely accurate book of prophecies, written in 1655. The armies of Good and Evil are amassing and everything appears to be going according to Divine Plan. Except that a somewhat fussy angel and a fast-living demon are not actually looking forward to the coming Rapture. And someone seems to have misplaced the Antichrist. Put New York Times best-selling authors Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett together...and all Hell breaks loose.

Critic reviews

"Pratchett (of Discworld fame) and Gaiman (of Sandman fame) may seem an unlikely combination, but the topic (Armageddon) of this fast-paced novel is old hat to both. Pratchett's wackiness collaborates with Gaiman's morbid humor; the result is a humanist delight to be savored and reread again and again." (Amazon.com review)

The only bad thing no sequel ever.

What can I say about this? Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett creators of two of the most iconic worlds ever collaborating on a book! The story flows wonderfully, from beginning to end I blazed through the written version and to have a version I could listen to while working in the yard or on my projects was a joy. The voice work was good, and didn't make me stop and ask 'which char said that'. The only bummer about this story is that, with the passing of Mr. Pratchett, there will never be a sequel.

You Gotta Roll With It

Took a while to get a sense of the story and character agendas. The humor came much later, like a droll. However, loved the chipper reading performance.

it was a bit of a struggle to get thru. lengthy

The story was chock full. Very busy and a riot. Love the story. So it was a fun ride, even if I wanted to be doing other things, I had to fit it in.

Great performance, alright book.

The story and characters are a little thin, but it still manages to carve out its own little special place in my collection. The performance is top notch, and the wiring is excellent. The characters and story just feel a little underdeveloped. I guess I wanted more than I got. Completely worth the listen though. Do it!

Fantastic

I didn’t want this to end. The story of good and evil was wise, hilarious, and thought provoking. The performance was equally spectacular.

It was good. Not great. But good.

I enjoyed this book and I would actually recommend to some people. But the story is not great. There are a lot of little hitches where it really slows down. And as much as I wanted to be interested in the friendship between the angel and the demon, their witty banter just wasn’t as witty as the author hoped it would be.

Give this book a try, but don’t have too high of expectations.

Love Neil Gaimen!

It was captivating and hilarious! Well read. Some readers don't manage well with many voices but this one was spot on! really brought the story to life. I loved reading along and discovering the horsemen. Great companion on a long drive! definitely going to buy another! And Agnes's nice book... I might have to listen to it again.
