Tyler can't inherit unless he gets married... and when Glen proposes, hijinks ensue. Follow the guys on their world-spanning adventure as they defeat mobsters, an evil step-mother, a rakish brother-in-law and pirates. No, really - pirates! Plus, there's an underground super-base. And hockey. Come for the romance, stay for the hockey.

this is randomly specific, but the narration reminds me a lot of marshall eriksen from how i met your mother. totally nuts, right? i guess they both have this dumb jock intonation sometimes that makes me chuckle.
glen or tyler, because they'd be buying.
this book is basically about what you'd do if you had a bazillion dollars. you'd want to have a secret lair, and an island, and a professional hockey team, and like nine banks, and you'd have a sweet wardrobe, a limo driver and enjoy making homophobes and all other idiots look dumb.
I really enjoyed this listen. It was a fun romp, but not real heavy on the romance. Don't get me wrong, Glenn & Tyler are romantic in their own special way, but don't expect angst or drama. The narrator was good, but he made Glen kinda sound like a dufus, frat boy. Didn't like that b/c Glen was so much more than that. But overall, he did an excellent job. This has lots of twists and turns and over the top unrealistic plots, but I think that was the point. I think the author was doing an "anti tragedy laced gay novel" so he went waaaayyy over to the other side where everything always works out for the gay couple. It made me smile with its in your face - gay people can be happy too and not everything ends in tragedy. Worth a credit.
I purchased this book over six months ago and have listened to it at least four times. It is the perfect mix of humor, drama, mystery, suspense, spies, evil step-mother, ex-girlfriends, money and hockey players who fall in love. The entire story is over the top but I love these characters so much. Listen to this book!
Fantastic, he brings each character to life.

I want the other books in this series to be audiobooks too!
This book is different from most of the m/m I read (listen to). Even though the situations were fantastical at best, I love how Glen and Tyler interact with each other and the rest of the characters. The positive messages this book has really made me smile all the while I was listening to it. Love the humor and humanity throughout. It was quite refreshing. It may not be everyone's cup of tea, but I enjoyed it.
Glen and Tyler of course. They are both so likeable, funny and smart.
I liked Brian's accents and the way he differentiated all of the character's voices.
Yes, but couldn't.
I hope the author writes the next story soon. I also wouldn't mind a bit more spice in the books.
The story was fulfilling, it didn't leave you frustrated while you bemoaned the idiocy of main characters, nor did it use that unfortunately common plot device of creating conflict with absolute lack of trust and communication that so many books now and days seem to employ.
Tyler and Glen had some amazing one liners that made me laugh aloud when one of those witty little comments popped up.
I have not, I gave the book 4 stars out of 5 in performance. This is because in Brian Rollins part was wonderful, he was very clear and very entertaining to listen to. He brought these characters to life the majority of the time, the only thing that bugged me was that some of Glens shorter responses didn't have the same personality that was evident in his longer speaking instances and unfortunately it made sound less than intelligent when giving his shorter replies. This audio does have a very few places where the speaker pauses to take a breath or read the next bit ahead that weren't edited out, this can make for some weird spacing during sentences and there are also places where the audio quality of the recording changes drastically for brief snippets of time. This occurs rarely and overall I am very happy with the audio performance.
This book made me laugh aloud several times while at my desk. It was an extremely enjoyable experience
How their loving relationship emerges.
I cannot think of anything, really. There are many gay romance books, and some of them with adventure, but this contains a lot of love, but nothing explicit at all. That is why it is difficult to compare it.
Absolutely the "You may kiss or embrace" kiss and the aftermath
A perfect relationship between two super-rich, every-day, male super heroes.
really loved it. The first time around I missed the actual bedroom action, but that was because I expected it. It is great just like this.
An unlikelier story line I've yet to come across. Dishevelled college jocks get married to inherit more money than god, fall in love at the alter and then flit around the world foiling cruise ship pirates. Really? Pull the other one!
That said, there's something about the subtle humour in the story line that keeps you listening - like a bad 80's Bond flick, awfully compelling. Really really awfully compelling.
Something was missing. The sex. The author skirts around the idea, innuendo here, suggestion there, but never really gets down to it. And I think the story is the worse for it. I'm not suggesting that the he launch into a detailed blow by blow (yes I did it) account every couple of pages, but the one thing that COULD be believable in the narrative, just isn't there.
And my last gripe then - the narrator. Sounds like he's gasping for breath every few words. Other than that, he's actually pretty good. How he voices different characters is especially good and I think that with a little practice, he's going to be great.
