The zombie apocalypse has been good to Sarah and David. Their marriage is better than ever. They communicate well, share responsibilities, and now, they're starting a business. ZombieBusters-for all your zombie extermination needs. There are lots of zombies and that means lots of customers...
Except one of them doesn't want the zombies dead; he wants them alive and ready for experimentation. Mad scientists make for difficult clients, and this time Sarah and David might have bitten off more than they can chew.

"[A] cute and gory sequel to September 2010's Married with Zombies." (Publishers Weekly)
I went into this audiobook expecting a shoot-em-up with nothing more than "jobs" completed, and a little plot relating to the couples marriage, given the first book. What I got was that and so much more. Without spoiling it, I'll just say that Sarah and David end up doing a lot more than killing zombies and bonding.
This series is a refreshing addition to the zombie genre, and I'd recommend it to all those who seek rotting corpses getting their butts kicked (though I imagine kicking zombies in the butt would just be squishy and gross; I recommend aiming for the head)!
This book is horrible, and I do not know why I read the first three in the series. The mediocre, predictable story is made worse in the telling. The character telling the story from a first-person perspective is one of the worst persons I ever met in real life or literature. This woman is immature, spoiled, obnoxious, and unrepentant of her bad behavior. She learns nothing and grows not an inch through the adversity. She thinks little of her reader/listener and constantly implies we are spoiled children who just don't know how good we have it because we do not live in a post-apocalyptic world. The performance is marginal and the editor failed to remove a misread sentence in the third book. I will not listen to further books in this series, and I do not recommend it.
I can't think of any way this book could be improved. I guess that says it all. Can't wait for the next one in the series!!!
this would have been a good story if it wasn't written at all.
Bionic zombies??!! Come on. Not even funny if it was meant to be. It started out strong, but then just got stupid. The leading character is an ignoramus. We really like zombie stories...and have listened to many. Some are stinkers, and some are just plain stupid.
Good voice actor.
The reaction to this book was disappointment. Both my wife and I didn't like it.
I really hope they don't try and make this into a movie.
This has the stupidest woman ever written. The husband is an idiot for following her but not nearly as annoying as Ms. Ditz.
She did a good job, stupid character is not her fault.
Say something about yourself!
Most of my favorite zombie books build tension and have a sense of impending doom. This has a little of that, the characters seem to escape danger easily. What I do really like about this series is the humor. I love the bickering between Sarah and David and the "marriage counseling / zombie survival rules" that start each chapter. "The couple that slays together, stays together". Recommend this series for a light read, maybe to break up any darker zombie books you may be reading.
The Entire Book.
She is just a delight to listen to.
I recommend this book to adults that love action and adult humor!
The second in the Living with the Dead series does not disappoint! Sarah & David are now professional zombie hunters, well, as professional as you can be in the post-apocalyptic world, where the surviving human beings are scratching out an existance, fueled by Pop Tarts, canned beans, and beef jerky, still watching over their shoulders for the lurching, blood thirsty zombies that are always threatening. Getting through each day is still a challenge, but now there are rumors of bigger, scarier, smarter, so-called Bionic Zombies! Oh, no!
This is a fun story with a great narrator. Can't wait to get to the 3rd installment!
This series is a great listen if you just want something fun and pretty light to listen to on a trip. There is really not a lot of depth to the story, but it is an interesting concept. Really nothing new as far as how the zombie process works, just not as scary as much as entertaining. Don't read this if you want something very deep and thought provoking, but it is a nice lighthearted listen.
