    "A wonderful follow-up! (no spoilers)"
What did you love best about Flip This Zombie?

I went into this audiobook expecting a shoot-em-up with nothing more than "jobs" completed, and a little plot relating to the couples marriage, given the first book. What I got was that and so much more. Without spoiling it, I'll just say that Sarah and David end up doing a lot more than killing zombies and bonding.

This series is a refreshing addition to the zombie genre, and I'd recommend it to all those who seek rotting corpses getting their butts kicked (though I imagine kicking zombies in the butt would just be squishy and gross; I recommend aiming for the head)!

    "Awful book."

This book is horrible, and I do not know why I read the first three in the series. The mediocre, predictable story is made worse in the telling. The character telling the story from a first-person perspective is one of the worst persons I ever met in real life or literature. This woman is immature, spoiled, obnoxious, and unrepentant of her bad behavior. She learns nothing and grows not an inch through the adversity. She thinks little of her reader/listener and constantly implies we are spoiled children who just don't know how good we have it because we do not live in a post-apocalyptic world. The performance is marginal and the editor failed to remove a misread sentence in the third book. I will not listen to further books in this series, and I do not recommend it.

What would have made Flip This Zombie better?

This has the stupidest woman ever written. The husband is an idiot for following her but not nearly as annoying as Ms. Ditz.

Would you be willing to try another one of Cassandra Campbell’s performances?

She did a good job, stupid character is not her fault.

    Any additional comments?

Most of my favorite zombie books build tension and have a sense of impending doom. This has a little of that, the characters seem to escape danger easily. What I do really like about this series is the humor. I love the bickering between Sarah and David and the "marriage counseling / zombie survival rules" that start each chapter. "The couple that slays together, stays together". Recommend this series for a light read, maybe to break up any darker zombie books you may be reading.

"More of Sarah & David -- zombies, beware!"

The second in the Living with the Dead series does not disappoint! Sarah & David are now professional zombie hunters, well, as professional as you can be in the post-apocalyptic world, where the surviving human beings are scratching out an existance, fueled by Pop Tarts, canned beans, and beef jerky, still watching over their shoulders for the lurching, blood thirsty zombies that are always threatening. Getting through each day is still a challenge, but now there are rumors of bigger, scarier, smarter, so-called Bionic Zombies! Oh, no!
This is a fun story with a great narrator. Can't wait to get to the 3rd installment!

    "Great fun listen"
    Any additional comments?

This series is a great listen if you just want something fun and pretty light to listen to on a trip. There is really not a lot of depth to the story, but it is an interesting concept. Really nothing new as far as how the zombie process works, just not as scary as much as entertaining. Don't read this if you want something very deep and thought provoking, but it is a nice lighthearted listen.

"Good, but not as good as the original"
If you’ve listened to books by Jesse Petersen before, how does this one compare?

Since the first one introduced us to the characters, it had a lot more room to maneuver and to surprise us with new revelations. This one, while fun, seemed a bit forced to try and continue the schtick Petersen used to flesh out her heroine in the first book.

"Not as good as the first book"

I did enjoy this 2nd in the series - but it's no where as good as the first. We are introduced to a new "breed" of zombie here - but the reasoning behind it didn't make a whole lot of sense and the explanation was a little anti-climatic. This story was a lot less about survival in a zombie world and more about how the zombies came into being. The whole reason I love zombie fiction is for the stories of desperate survival of those living through it. In this book, our characters have the survival thing down pretty well so it's primarily about the interaction between our main characters and the mysterious scientist. Important Note: I believe you HAVE to read the first book to even slightly enjoy this one....there is little or no character development in Flip this Zombie....all of which was done in Married with Zombies. If you have already read the top Zombie Fiction books - then I guess it's worth a credit.

I can't think of any way this book could be improved. I guess that says it all. Can't wait for the next one in the series!!!
