There are no listener reviews for this title yet.
You might be reading these reviews doubting that an audio book really can be this bad. I can confirm that yes, this audio book is *mind numbingly awful*.
I purchased the unabridged version. The unabridged version is many, many, many hours of purgatory.
Make no mistake. This is not one of those works that is so bad it is amusing. It would be a more rewarding use of your time if you spent it chewing a pencil.
Well, there is no question (if you are even slightly embarrassed to be reading such books), which to pick - audio or print... Nobody will know what you are listening, unless you forget to get of the train at your stop. ;D
The start of the trilogy may feel slow to get going, but every story needs to start somewhere.
If you read the book, it's likely you don't quite think the various voices of the characters. And that they are (most of them) supposed to be American.
This audiobook is the beginning of a love(ly) story, introducing the main characters - Christian and Ana getting to know each other. A real "Introducing Fifty Shades".
You just need to remember (at the end) that there are two more books to follow. Enjoy!
"White and Black is Grey"
First I didn't know what to think about the Red Room, but Christian Grey seems to have hidden his traumatic younger days behind his dominating persona.. Ana became his sub lover. How they both change is what the book is about. I love it!
Ana is very naive about sex then she met Grey and EVERYTHING changed. How she tripping into Grey's office and her clumsy ways etc should have meant Grey should not have Ana on his horizon but, because of his "needs" he does. I love both Ana and Grey - they "bonded" even though they were different!
No. I have the sequel which I will hear over in the holiday!
Grey wants it all but Ana won't let him!
People think this is a exotic love story but, for I, it is love story with a difference.Child traumas, met dominatrix VS naive adult equal an explosive chapter turning!
"fantastic read -"
sex, more sex
becca battoe naration
all of it
fantastic read, only made 100 times better by becca battoe. didn't want the book to end! loved it!
Now i must say you cannot write a review for fifty shades unless you have read all three in the trilogy as the story just continues.
I have read all three and wow wow wow.
i cant wait for the movie the come out, i will be the first in line. I absolutly loved this.
well written, and NO its not just about PORN which some (who have not read the book) would ignorantly state.
It is so much more deeper than just the sexy parts, but the dynamic between their relationship in this well written, nail biting, gripping book.
"The ending is worth it"
I can not say I loved this book. It was compelling listening. What was going to happen next!!
I learned a lot about extreme sex. Is that useful? Yes I think it is. It has widened my perspective - I would think the author has done a good research job or had first hand experience.
At first I was dubious about the narrator but her voice and emotionality grew on me.
What really interested me was the ending. I will not spoil it for you but on a psychological basis I think the last few sentences sums up the whole story. This depends on your interest in the state of human suffering and the reality of our lives.
"Poor Sound Quality"
The sound in the recording fades and comes back randomly and the voice is very monotonous. Not the best recording. Shame as the story is a good one.
"Repetitive and so irritating"
I regret purchasing this book as the story is boring and very predictable. It is also very repetitive in terms of scenes and frases. "Oh, my" on every page, the presence of "inner goddess" and "self consciousness", again on every page really gets on your nerves. the most annoying thing is that the first book has finished bang in the middle of the scene, so to find out what happened after all I now have to purchase he next too! Arrr!
"Fifty Shades Of Grey"
Just don't bother! I think I would rather clean the house, it starts O.K but the narrator is very irritating and I got no further than the third chapter.
"worth the hype"
the literature its self isn't great but if your wanting entertainment in a forward fashion, this could be the book for you!
