Publisher's Summary

Lucifer, the anointed cherub, whose ministry in heaven is devoted to the worship of the Most High God, has become pessimistic about his prospects in heaven. Ambition inflamed, he looks to the soon-to-be-created Earth as a place where he can see his destiny realized. With a willing crew of equally ambitious angels, Lucifer creates a fifth-column of malcontents under the very throne of God. Hot on their heels, however, is a group of loyalists, led by Michael and Gabriel, who are suspicious of Lucifer's true motives. In detective style fashion, they slowly start to unmask the true nature of Lucifer's sordid plot.

Chronicles of the Host is a fantastic novel of the beginning of all things. Follow Lucifer's deceptive plans to rule over Earth and his inevitable fall from grace.

    "Incredible"
Would you listen to Exile of Lucifer again? Why?

I would love to listen to it again cuz the way its narrated feels super realistic, while listening you feel like its happening in front of you like a screenplay

If you could take any character from Exile of Lucifer out to dinner, who would it be and why?

I would like to take Archangel Michael out to dinner because of his loyalty to the most high and the true warrior he is

    Any additional comments?

    "Needed better narrator"

I've read the series in paperback & stories are excellent. The narration took some away from the audio version, but this book and the rest in the series are some of the very best in the genre. I will still get the rest on audio as they come out.

"another interesting on the pre bible genre"

narrator was OK. story was detailed on the inner workings of what led to Lucifer rebellion and downcast. very good story on the fall of Adam and Eve. Was not as explosive as another book , a two book on same genre...and that may be what made it unique and sometimes drawn out. overall 5 stars.

    "Decent"

Not sure why the author states in the narrative that Adam could not eat of both trees in the center of the garden. I decided to go investigate this.
In the 1851 septuagint translated by Sir Lancelot C.L. Brenton genesis ch2 vs 17 its states " but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil---of it ye shall not eat, but in whatsoever day ye eat of, ye shall surely die".

Amp bible- genesis ch 2 vs 17 "but of the tree of knowledge of good and evil and blessing and calamity you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die"

Not sure if the author is deliberately throwing out bad info or he is ignorant of what is stated in scripture, either way i have to give him a lower score.

    "Brilliant!"
Would you consider the audio edition of Exile of Lucifer to be better than the print version?

I prefer audio so I can do other work while I am listening.

What other book might you compare Exile of Lucifer to and why?

The Screwtape Letters because it tells how Satan might think of how to corrupt man.

What does Stuart Gauffi bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

His voices defined the characters and helped you picture them in your mind.

If you could take any character from Exile of Lucifer out to dinner, who would it be and why?

The Zora. I would love to see the different creatures and to bask and learn of their true devotion to the most high God.

"Different look at an old story."

I wasn't sure sure what to expect. Had read the reviews and decided to give it a try. I was not disappointed. There were a couple of things I disagreed about, but that's only for my own personal beliefs. Otherwise a very good story.
