Publisher's summary

Enemies Foreign And Domestic is a domestic terrorism thriller set "in the near future." The story begins on opening day of the NFL season, when bullets begin to rain down upon the upper deck of a packed football stadium. A panic stampede ensues, leading to mass casualties. The alleged sniper is found holding a smoking assault rifle, and is killed by a police marksman.

One week later, Congress bans the private possession of all semi-automatic assault rifles. Gun owners are given one week to turn in their semi-automatic rifles, or face a five year mandatory sentence.

The plot revolves around the true identity of the actual sniper. The alleged sniper killed at the scene may be a patsy, and many Americans refuse to turn in their banned weapons, leading to a civil crisis in the nation between supporters of the 2nd Amendment and a federal government trending toward tyranny.

Audio

Significant background noise and static. Very distracting. Also the narrator is a boring monotone, reads too fast and without expression or any variation of voice for different but characters.

An amazing fiction that closely mimics modern Life

This book is great. It outlines some issues about current political tactics and talks about how a true American Patriot would respond to such tactics.

enjoyed it. the narrator's voice is deep, so adjust the bass on you speakers. the story, especially the citizen response was very realistic in my opinion.

Audio Quality is Absolutely AWFUL!!!

Is there anything you would change about this book?

For starters; It needs to be re-recorded with better audio and narrated by someone that knows how to read punctuation.

The narrator speed-reads the story like one long run-on sentence. You can never tell which character is talking and the terrible recording makes it even more difficult to follow the dialog.

Good story but poor audiobook. Buy the real book and don't waste your hard earned money on this recording.

Who was your favorite character and why?

The Vietnam Vet in the gun store.

Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Mike Kemp?

Larry The Cable Guy would've been a much better choice.

Could you see Enemies Foreign and Domestic being made into a movie or a TV series? Who should the stars be?

I bought this audiobook today 06-20-2014 and I'm strongly considering returning this for a refund because the audio quality and narration is so lousy.

Any additional comments?

Imagine listening to an entire book read to you on your cell's speakerphone from a narrator calling with really bad cell service while standing in the tunnel of the expressway. Yes.... It's seriously that bad.

Thought it was my device at first, so I rebooted it, then deleted the book and re-downloaded it...3 times. It's not the device - it's the recording.

BEWARE - This recording is DEFINITELY not worth the nearly $20 price tag.

rough audio but great story

The audio is a little rough and sometimes hard to digest. The story and its themes however, are something every American should read/listen to.

Pretty darn good

Good story, great character development and awesome action. Poignant story in today's ultra left wing society. I usually just listen to audible on long drives but by the end of this book I was listening on ear buds as I went about my day

Good story, absolutely horrid audio quality

I listened to the preview, and it sounded OK. I was like "what are all these folks complaining about?"

The audio quality is ABYSMAL starting with Chapter 1, and by that I mean AWFUL. It's... fuzzy... my iphone recorder sounds 10000 times better. I have no idea how Audible ever approved putting this recording out.

The story is good, the book is interesting, so I fought my way through it but MAN was it badly produced.
