Publisher's summary

Enemies Foreign And Domestic is a domestic terrorism thriller set "in the near future." The story begins on opening day of the NFL season, when bullets begin to rain down upon the upper deck of a packed football stadium. A panic stampede ensues, leading to mass casualties. The alleged sniper is found holding a smoking assault rifle, and is killed by a police marksman.

One week later, Congress bans the private possession of all semi-automatic assault rifles. Gun owners are given one week to turn in their semi-automatic rifles, or face a five year mandatory sentence.

The plot revolves around the true identity of the actual sniper. The alleged sniper killed at the scene may be a patsy, and many Americans refuse to turn in their banned weapons, leading to a civil crisis in the nation between supporters of the 2nd Amendment and a federal government trending toward tyranny.

Great story, terrible narration.

This is a good story. I enjoyed the writing but the narrator is terrible. I’m no English major but he has a lot of run on sentences. Almost like there is no punctuation.

Good story; Horrid performance

The story is solid. I've read the Kindle edition of all three books in the series.

Without a doubt this was the WORST PERFORMANCE of any Audible title I own. The narration was monotone, there was no attempt to distinguish characters, and the recording quality was spotty. Sounds as if it was done in someone's basement on an old cassette deck. I would like to listen to the rest of the series but I see the reader is the same making them a hard pass for me.

Good listen - a dire future

A very good bit of Patriot Fiction - believable characters

A dire future if the Republicans don't get hold of this once great country

audio quality is terrible

It sounds like it was recorded in someone's basement with a Mic purchased at a discount store. Audio quality changes with every take/edit and the reader is very monotone.

Terrible Narrator

I have read this book and the others in this trilogy and absolutely loved them. I wanted to read them again but just do not have the time. I down loaded them to listen in the car while traveling. So disappointed in the narrator. I’ve listened to a lot of other narrators and found Mike Kemp to be monotone and quit boring and these books are not boring at all!!! Mike’s voice can literally put me to sleep. Sorry, but true.

pro gun political book

Any additional comments?

It is hard to separate the story from the political message in this book. The political message seems to be that it is impossible to have a government which does not abuse the rights of the people unless the people are armed. Notice I wrote "government" instead of "democracy." That is because nothing in the book is done threw the democratic process by the pro gun side. Once guns are outlawed after a false flag, terrorist gun attack, the solution is to kill government agents and elected officials to disagree with the position of the author. In trying to think of what form of government the author might support, I've come up with the word "gunocracy." No "downside" to private gun ownership is even reviewed. All guns in the hands of the government are evil and all guns in the hands of private citizens are good.

The narration isn't that good. I'm glad that it is available on audiobook so something is better than nothing.

Good story, less than stellar audio.

I enjoyed the story, but the audio quality was subpar. Some parts sounded like they were recorded in a bathroom and during some moments of silence I thought I heard crickets in the background. If you can get past the adio quality it's an entertaining story and worth a listen.

Edge-of-your-seat story!

Some people complain about the narration. It didn't bother me at all. It was clear reading. However the recording quality was not very high fidelity. Sometimes it sounded like an AM radio station. That being said, I forgot any minor annoyances once the story got going... I didn't care about the sound quality. The book was too good and you'd want to keep listening.

TERRIBLE NARRATION!!!!

Unlistenable!

This book should be removed from the library and everyone should get their credit back!!!! After the prologue it switches, don’t be fooled by the sample.
