Publisher's summary

From Outback Australia to London and Greece comes a captivating story of passion, greed, secrets and lies.

A story of passion, greed, secrets and lies.

Present day: A reclusive woman living in outback Australia receives a letter acknowledging a terrible secret from her past.

Thirty years before, she stole another woman's life. From the moment the letter is opened two women are on a collision course with destiny.

From the London pop scene, to the opera stages of Europe; from a tiny Greek island, to a stifling manor house full of secrets and deceptions; from the sun-drenched Queensland coast, to the silent outback; Angela and Ellie are two women both looking for something. One in search of her identity and her memory; the other in search of the love that she had and lost; theirs is a duet whose last note will not be sung until the heart-stopping climax, when a shadow from the past returns to claim them both.

Worth listening to!

I really liked the book but you switched to different characters and dates without warning so often I got lost and had to back up several times.

Excellent story!

I loved this book! The way the characters intertwined and connected was great. There were some more favored characters than others, but that gave the story a more real feel.

Loved this book!

I loved this book! I read Wildflower Hill, also written by Kimberley Freeman, years ago and loved it. I liked this book just as well, if not better. I can usually figure out the "twist" that's coming in a book. With this one, I couldn't quite figure it out. There was something I liked about almost all of the characters in this book, so I was rooting for them. For me to finish an audiobook this long in two weeks means it's a "page turner" for sure. If you liked Wildflower Hill or if you like Kate Morton books, you'll love this book!

Beautiful duet

I enjoyed this book immensely. While there are obvious comparisons to Kate Morton (partly due to Caroline Lee's narration, and possibly partially due to the fact that Kate Morton is listed in the acknowledgments as having provided insights into the novel), it is not nearly as multi-layered as KM's novels. It is, however, a well-written novel, with the noted exception of the ending. You read it, and you KNOW that there will be contrived coincidences, but by the time you get to that point, you care enough about the main characters that the coincidence does not bother you much.

Caroline Lee's performance is quite good here... her accents are a little contrived, but you never really run into problems deciphering who's speaking.

Enjoy this engrossing light read... well worth the credit.

Caroline Lee is my favorite narrator!

I've read many wonderful books because I follow Caroline Lee. DUET was okay, not great. Caroline Lee was wonderful as always.

Donna

I thoroughly enjoyed this audio book. One of the best I have listened to this year. The further into the the story I got, the more I wanted to listen. The interwoven stories were more than a duet, they were a symphony.

Duet

Superb! Though I thought it took a while to set up the characters, it then took off and held me captivated.

Would you listen to Duet again? Why?

This was a very entertaining story but it started to drag towards the end into what was the biggest surprise ending ever. I want to go back and
