So when the king himself offers her a job, she can't resist the massive reward he offers - even if it means working with Captain Elander, the arrogant, mysterious right-hand to that king. Her partner may be infuriating, but at least their mission seems simple and quick enough: investigate the origins of the strange plague that's been ravaging their empire, help find a cure, and then call it a day.

Davina Porter is DIVINE!!
I have read these books before, the old fashioned way,, but it's so wonderful to hear the pronunciations and the voices!! Davina Porter is a fabulous narrator!!

less sexy time more history
pleasantly surprised with this book in comparison to the first as the author seems to have satisfied their need to write sex scenes every 30 pages and focused on better character development.
the story was better developed in this installation and did not want for lack of detail, and Claire is still the worst part of the books.
looking forward to Voyager.

Contrasts between the series and the book.
I have watched the 5 seasons of Outlander. I have been curious about the differences between the series and the books. I thoroughly enjoyed listening to the book. I love reading but listening gives more depth to the printed word.

Love me a great follow-up to a phenomenal novel!!
“Outlander” was such a wonderful, beautiful, crazy journey and “Dragonfly in Amber” is a great way to continue to journey of Claire & Jamie and all of the people in their lives!!! The history is so interesting and their love story just keeps you listening and wanting to hear and experience more and more. I’m excited to dive into “Voyager” next and feel the love and loyalty of those two badass humans. Enjoy!!

Great 2nd outlander book
Narrator is great as always.I wish they had a make to do Jamie but Davies porter is the best voice narrator she can do lots of do so many people! The book is very long but is very worth it!
