What was one of the most memorable moments of Dragonfly in Amber?

It was all pretty good to be honest.

What does Davina Porter bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

The Narration was fantastic! Made it very believable and held my attention. Superb Job I am now a fan!

Any additional comments?

The book was pretty good all around, I'm a guy and found it to be a good listen. It does have a number of sex scenes in it which caught me off guard, especially when listening to it in my car with the windows down....lol But overall if you like the idea of time travel, Scotland, England and a great story check it out! There is even a 45 minute preview of the second book at the end of the one I downloaded.

An excellent Continuation

The story line, the narration and the way this writer makes you feel like you are right there in Jamie and Clair's love story is astonishing. I rarely cry due to written words, but Wow. This book was phenomenal. And what a cliff hanger at the end! I can't wait to move onto the next book! After how many decades, these books are still bringing people into this love story. Excellent writing Diana Gabaldon AND perfect narration for each character Davina Porter! I am in love with these stories!!!!

Another outstanding book narrated beautifully!

The characters become family. Never a lapse in momentum. I will be sad to finish the series.

Would not wish to rename it as it keeps you guessing as to the story line

Wonderful reading--wonderful book

I loved this book. I think it may even be better than the series on tv. They are different in some ways and each takes advantage of its form. The narrator makes the characters breathe. Read this book if you love a great story that includes fantasy, history, proto-feminism (an independent woman in Jacobean Scotland), descriptive detail, and realistic emotions.

Would you listen to Dragonfly in Amber again? Why?

I didn't think I'd like historical romance, but this series has changed my mind. Dragonfly in Amber is the second book in the series and I find myself going for an extra walk, doing yard walk, or running errands in the car so I can listen to another chapter.

Who was your favorite character and why?

I love Jamie and Claire. The characters are so detailed I feel like I really know them.

The Saga Continues....

.....this book does not disappoint! The continuing drama that wraps you in lits coils as Jamie and Claire continue their quest through history.....I continue to be impressed with the amount of research that must have gone into this book and the amazing talent of our storyteller who's ability to define a multitude of characters brings the book to life.....I move on to the next volume with happy anticipation!
