Emily Covington has turned her life around after a drug addiction, but her family still has trouble trusting her. Though Emily has committed herself to a year-long treatment program and has been sober for almost a year beyond that, even her mother walks on eggshells around her, fearing she’ll relapse. After her behavior during her drug years, Emily realizes she has a lot to prove.
When police discover a homemade bomb under Emily’s car, and she then learns the wife of one of her friends was murdered that same morning, she knows things are deadly serious.
But who wants Emily dead? And why?
A conversation she had with two men, an Alfred Hitchcock movie, and a plan for a double murder all conspire for one explosive ride... and Emily is the only one who can identify the killer and save the life of the next potential victim.
As she frantically works to solve this ever more complicated puzzle, Emily finds herself playing right into the killer’s hands.

With your awesome stories with such deep spiritual truths, that challenge, and help me see that I am not so badly off. Thank you Terri for the lovely series, many Cassandra for you beautiful rendition of the books. May God bless you with many hundred more stories and Cassandra as many hundred narrator opportunities you would like.
Love Christian music, listening to good clean books, directing/playing handbells, love family, quilting, and clean suspense books.
Thank you, my Lord, for this Christian author. This was a great series. Looking forward to reading more of her books.
The last in the Intevention series, this book is great. I did get a bit tired of Emily trying to do things her own way, especially after all the mistakes she has made. But, it's still a thriller. The ending was absolutely perfect! I highly recommend this series!
Avid reader and writer
I am eclectic when it comes to reading, using printed books, MP3 audios and e-readers. I love all of Terri Blackstock's books, so I enjoy them in all mediums. I did not read this book in print, so can't compare it. What I can say is, I thoroughly enjoyed listening to it and the characters were real to me. That must mean Cassandra Campbell did a great job narrating!
The most memorable moment was when Emily remembered someone who had overheard their conversations and had a grudge against her, as well as others.
When Kent proposed to Barbara.
What do you do when everyone thinks you have fallen back into your old ways and even you can't explain what is happening?
The mother's attitude was very frustrating to me. Her fears seemed over the top and she wouldn't listen to Emily's denials. If I had been Emily, I would have been heartbroken that my own mother could turn on me so quickly. She never gave her the benefit of the doubt.
A good ending to this series but a little slow in getting the listeners attention.
No, I wouldn't listen to this series again but I did enjoy it.
