Publisher's summary

This gripping new thriller will leave you on the edge of your seat.

A devastating explosion.

Three best friends attend a concert. Only one makes it out alive.

A trunk full of evidence.

When police stop Dustin Webb with a warrant to search his trunk, he knows there’s been a mistake. He’s former military and owns a security firm. But he’s horrified when the officers find explosives, and he can’t fathom how they got there.

An attorney who will risk it all for an old friend.

Criminal attorney Jamie Powell was Dustin’s best friend growing up. They haven’t spoken since he left for basic training, but she’s the first person he thinks of when he’s arrested. Jamie knows she’s putting her career on the line by defending an accused terrorist, but she’d never abandon him. Someone is framing Dustin to take the fall for shocking acts of violence...but why?

Praise for Aftermath:

“In Aftermath, Terri Blackstock plumbs the depth of human emotion in the face of devastating tragedy, grief, and loss. Yet, she still manages to give readers her trademark suspenseful story, sweet romance, and hope for the future. From gut-wrenching scenes in a cancer patient’s hospital room to seeing the world through the eyes of a young woman with a debilitating mental health disorder, Blackstock pulls no punches about human frailties. Does the end justify the means? Romantic suspense lovers won’t want to miss Aftermath.” (Kelly Irvin, best-selling author)

Amazing as always

This book is yet another in a long line of wonderful books written by Terri. The characters are well rounded and the storyline is amazing. This literally grabbed me within the first few minutes. This book has become on of my favorite standalone books written by Terri. Can’t wait till the next on comes out.

Forgiveness

I really liked the book except th ending. I wanted to see more forgiveness for the friend of the main male lead. All we really know as he is in jail.

Gripping

Good plot. It was twisty and intense, with a full cast of flawed characters. It also had a cornucopia of reactions to death, loss and grief.

Predictable but Good

Initially I had no idea who committed the awful bombing but about half way through I knew who did it and shortly afterwards I figured out why. It was a fun relaxing read. I love Christian fiction.

Fast Paced

I enjoyed listening to this story while running. The pace of the story was very good and kept it interesting. I like this book of Terri Blackstock's a little better than most of her others. I liked the characters better. In some of her other books, the characters are less decisive and I don't really prefer that in a story.

Good, but a bit predictable

I enjoyed this book . I don't read much fiction, but joined a book club at my church.
This book had a good story, but the "who - done-it" part was too predictable. My husband read it with me and he reads Sherlock Holmes and other mysteries on Audible( so I get to listen as well). We figured out who was involved right away. Still liked it , though.
