An irresistible, heart-warming novel from the much-loved author of numerous Sunday Times best sellers, including A Walk in the Park and To the Moon and Back.
Dexter Yates loves his fun, care-free London life; he has money, looks and girlfriends galore. But everything changes overnight when his sister dies, leaving him in charge of her eight-month-old daughter Delphi. How is he ever going to cope? Comic-strip artist Molly Hayes lives in the beautiful Cotswold village of Briarwood. When it comes to relationships, she has a history of choosing all the wrong men. Leaving the city behind, Dex moves to Briarwood - a much better place to work on his parenting skills - and he and Molly become neighbours. There's an undeniable connection between them. But if Dexter's going to adapt, he first has a lot to learn about Molly, about other people's secrets... and about himself.

I have really enjoyed this book. It was very well read with good voices for the different characters. I also enjoyed the story even though it was quite a predictable ending. You did feel that you knew the village and it's inhabitants. The only thing I did not like was the baby sounds! An earth mother I am not!
I really loved this listen! I am a painter so listening while I work is very important and when I find something captivating like this I can work all day happily! The story is excellent from the beginning and if you like this genre you will not be upset to have chosen this book at all. 12 hours long of blissful listening. I loved the voice of the narrator who brought all the characters alive. A heart warming fun story. It's still in my mind now, I wanted to carry on the characters longer! I didn't want it to end :)
"Feel good story"
This is a brilliantly compiled funny romantic story that I really enjoyed and could not put down. Loveable characters and lots of laugh out loud moments. Ms. Mansell manages to draw the reader into her world of romance and definitely leaves the reader feeling good at the end of her stories.
"A Lovely Story"
Another lovely, heartwarming story from Jill Mansell. The characters are very likeable and the book flows nicely. The voice of the reader is also very easy to listen to.
"Don't want to miss a single Jill Mansell novel!"
Have read all of Jill Mansell's books and love them all! This one I enjoyed in particular as the story is heartwarming and as always I was sucked in from the first paragraph!
"Just loved this book, warm and cosy"
Like most books this got off to a slow start but once it got going I couldn't turn it off, the characters were believable and I enjoyed every minute, its well written and I visualised the counntry side and people. This was my first Jill Manasell It won't be my last
"Easy listening but predictable narrative."
Usually I love Jill Mansell titles both audio & hard copy however this book I found very predictable to the point where I already knew what the outcome would be way before the plot ended. I’ve given it 2 stars out of kindness.
"Glad I didn't miss it"
Easy to listen enjoyable fun book. Good read yet avian from this author Jill Mansell. Have read many already and will read more.
"This book started of well but had no middle or end"
I loved Molly but again it was just a typical love story of boy meets girl and they end up in bed.after trying it with a few others in first.
Most of it but a love story does not always need to have a happy ending.
Molly getting splashed with wine in the cafe.
No No we don't need any more trashy love stories and there never was much of a story in the first place. .
"Easy listening, bit predictable"
Narrated good, story easy to follow if a little predictable with likeable characters. I listened to this whilst doing night feeds with a new baby and lapses in concentration didn't affect my ability to follow the story!
