The performance of the narrator, along with the music, is really immersing. The story is full of dark mystery, danger and gore, as is characteristic to the Diablo universe.
I've been a Diablo fan for many years now, and I recommend this book to anyone who is interested in the lore of the series. However, you can still find the book enjoyable even if you never played Diablo.
I found myself falling asleep often. Normally Scott brick is a good narrator but maybe it was the story, but man it never seemed to pick up. The whole time Scott seemed to just use one voice - somebody about ready to cry or fall asleep. As far as Diablo tales go, this is the worst book in the franchise as far as I'm concerned. Listening to a couple of the others using computer narration and they're far more captivating. Why aren't the others audiobooks? Sign.
