In separate vignettes, we meet Katherine, who is taking care of her ailing husband; Julianna, juggling with construction paper, scissors, and rubber cement in a room full of high-spirited four-year-olds; Adrianna, struggling with the difficulties of marriage; Cassandra, tending her toddlers; Victoria, searching for a love to call her own; Alexandra, waiting for word from her doctor about an uncertain diagnosis; and Isabella, discovering the gift of motherhood. The threads of their lives come together in a moving conclusion that perfectly captures the holiday spirit.

What a wonderful Christmas book. It is more than a day later and I am still thinking about this book. The author makes you feel like you wish you could meet these women and share a cup of tea with them. The ending was so wonderful it made me cry and smile all at the same time. I listened to this driving home for the holiday by myself from CA to TX wishing I could share the experience with my best friends that are like my sisters. I will listen to this each Christmas and purchase it for those I truly love and respect.
