This book was the funniest (laugh out LOUD funny), sweetest, most memorable listen I've ever found in the Audible library. Bought it years ago - have listened to it many times. Shared it with several friends. MUCH BETTER than the shopaholic series, I've never understood why this book didn't get more attention for Sophie Kinsella. The characters are quirky, the romantic hero has a wonderful touch of the "prince charming" - and the humor is just wonderful. Do yourself a favor and give it a listen - pure entertainment!

Lighthearted and laugh out loud funny

This book was perfect for me on vacation. Lighthearted, not heavy. I laughed out loud several times. Emma is s very relatable character. Kate Reading is masterful in her storytelling. I will definitely be reading and listening to more books by Sophie Kinsella and definitely searching for more titles narrated by Kate Reading.

Yes and no. The story was a good one and it was very funny. But, I am not one who uses the words you can't say on tv and there were many instances of the word starting with

The plane ride with the brain dump, very funny.

What does Kate Reading bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

As an American, it is exhausting to try to keep up mental English accent. I love the performance aspect of the reading as she makes the character her own.

If this book were a movie would you go see it?

Probably not, movies seldom live up to the book (except in the case of The Help which was phenomenal) and they would probably cut all the parts that showed the real personality.

This is an easy read book and shall be used as such. I was surprised in how many times I bursted out laughing, which was truly unexpected. Just for that it gets 4 stars! Not much to add beyond that.

This is Good Chick Lit.

I love chick lit. Good Chick Lit should be light, airy and funny with a ring of truth to it. "Can You Keep A Secret" has it all.

There are parts in this book that I cannot hear enough of because it is so funny!

Definitely a good pick up for the spirit.

Very Entertaining!

I enjoyed this book very much. It’s lighthearted and funny. The narrator does a great job! It was a very entertaining listen.

Fun and cute!

I really liked this author's style of writing. This was the first time I've listened to any of her books and I'm gonna try more of them. She's very witty and the story was really quite entertaining. I truly enjoyed this book and I loved the voice of who read it.

Enjoyable and humorous.

Light, enjoyable read. Very slapstick funny. Moves quickly along. I was entertained the entire book. It is predictable, but it is fun and made me laugh out loud.
