Great Read

What a lovely story of a woman’s journey through life. The trials and tribulations, the love and a budding new friendship. The narration was excellent in the story rich.

I love this book. it's not often that I think about a book. I felt her pain, was scared for them. wished that I loved someone or been loved like that. wishing it ended differently for her.. cried laughed and was frightened. excellent book.

Would you consider the audio edition of Calling Me Home to be better than the print version?

I have only heard the audio book. The narrators were great and I think added to the story.

What did you like best about this story?

The storyline was interesting. The way it jumped back in time was smooth. The way it brought the two women together was great.

No.

If you could rename Calling Me Home, what would you call it?

I believe it is an apt name.

EXCELLENT!

The author did a wonderful job of bringing these characters to life. I actually felt like I was in the car with Dory and Miss Isabelle. The narrators were perfect. I laughed, I cried, I felt the pain of both women. I admired Miss Isabelle's spunk and was enthralled with the love that grew between these two women. The crossword puzzles were a brilliant addition to their fateful journey. The ending was not a surprise but nonetheless, artfully written.

Powerful book!

You have to get past the first bit of the book when she is young. It sets you up fir the powerful story it becomes. I was so emotional reading this book. The story is heartbreaking but beautiful.

Highly impactful. Loved it dearly!

Please, take a chance on this book. I got it as part of a deal that was two books for one credit and I don't know if I would have bought it otherwise. But really, I cannot tell you how much this book has meant to me.

I looked forward to hearing Isabelle's storyline and lived for it! It was such a wonderful take on the history of the country and the romance was just perfect.

As a warning: I cried about four times. Be ready!

I was spellbound by this story of love, loss, strength, and courage set in a time of social injustice and self-righteous cruelty. I wonder how many people actually lived similar stories. I could have been Isabelle.
