Award-winning author Carolyn Haines visits sleuth Sarah Booth Delaney and the Mississippi Delta in Buried Bones, the second novel in this popular series. Local legend Lawrence Ambrose knows the secrets of everyone in town, and he isn’t above spilling the beans in a tell-all biography. But when his biographer turns up dead and the manuscript goes missing, it’s up to Sarah to dig up the truth.

I want all my Daddy Girl friends to get hooked on these Southern, Sassy and Soulful fun characters. I loved this book. It's one of those relaxing fun reads where you get laughs and entertained throughout the book. Sarah Booth Delaney with her family antebellum home complete with haunting of Gitty the ghost , best friend Tinky and her ability to sleuth in and out of trouble, leads readers in and out of hysterical situations.
This book is a mixture of Sweet Home Alabama meets the YaYa Sisterhood with a little Janet Evanich crazy antics of Stephanie Plum series!
I loved the idea of Moon Lake casino with its historic setting of an old riverboat gothic architectural casino from the 1960's being filled with scrapbooks of famous people and preserved antiques and mystery of its own.
There were many interesting characters but the way Gitty, the ghost , interacts in her ever changing wardrobe with the main character Sarah Booth as her guide to life and her family history, and guides her through so many thought provoking moments makes her my favorite.
I can't wait to continue the series. Everyone needs a little Sarah Booth and friends escape from reality.
"Awful narration killed the story"
I dont think so. I couldnt get a sense of the story at all due to the weird narration, Often she would stop in the middle of a sentence and then keep going so you spent the next couple of sentences making sense of that first sentence. There were rare moments when she would read fluently and then lose it again. Ive tried three times and cant get past chapter three
Awful complete waste of a credit
