In Beyond the Breakwater, the sequel to Safe Harbor, Sheriff Reese Conlon and Doctor Tory King face the challenges of personal change as they define their lives and future together. Dr. Tory King’s pregnancy forces her to examine her personal needs and goals while her partner, Sheriff Reese Conlon, struggles with her escalating anxieties over conditions she cannot control. Twenty-year-old Brianna Parker makes a sacrifice for love that threatens not just her happiness, but her life, when she returns home as the newest member of the Sheriff's department. A life-threatening accident, a suspicious fire, and the appearance of more than one woman vying for Bri’s attentions makes one Provincetown summer a time of transformation as each woman learns the true meaning of love, friendship, and family.

rambunctiously soft spoken.
So I was a little harsh with the first book so I must redeem my self and say that I enjoyed this one much more and will continue to read the next one in the series ,I still don't love the overly breathy narrator but I got over her and was lost in the lives of the strong doctor and sexy sheriff , every available lull in this story is filled with sex so if that bothers you this is not for you ,but I have a feeling if your a Radclyffe fan it wont.
Good drama and Radcliffe seance of humor is alive and well ,I'm falling for these characters and I'm looking forward to seeing where the their all heading .
Say something about yourself!
Right at the top. The first book in the series, Safe Harbor was good and so I wasn't expecting the second to be as good but I'm happy to say that I was wrong.
When Carr saw Bri dancing with Allie. I thought that Nicol Zanzarella captured the emotions of Bri and Caroline wonderfully.
Without a doubt, Allie Tremont. I love the southern accent.
No. It was just a very good story that was well told.
This is the second of the Provincetown tales where Reese and Tory are trying to start a family while Reese is trying to catch an arsonist. We're introduced to Allie Tremont. A sexy and alluring cadet that has her sights set on Bri. Once again the narration is top notch and the sex was hot as ever. I fell in love with Allie and loved the way that Nicol Zanzarella captured her southern accent and personality. A great read as well as a great audio. Highly recommended.
"Story could covered a lot of old ground"
The novel is the second in a series which involved a police office Reese , and a doctor Tory. It also includes the young couple Brianna and Carolyne. It follows on from the first nove with Reese and Troy planning for a baby, while Brianna and Carolyne go with a difficult patch with conflicts between each others long term happiness. I enjoyed the story and the different dramatic events but I found it hard to get emotionally connected with the story as it did not introduce any new relationships or main characters. It does however follow on from the first and provides a nice conformable read in the quaint but 'dangerous' Provincetown. if you liked the first and enjoyed the characters, and want to read happens next in their lives, then you will enjoy the novel.
