Captivating

It was sad, but sweet at the same time and it kept me on the edge of my seat. It was an excellent continuation of the first book.

Among the best books ever, Christian or otherwise.

This is the 2nd in a series of 3 books and the 1st is just as good. While this book is full of Christian values and morals, it is far from being free of violence. The author uses the main character (the slave girl, Hadassah) to teach some of the best and most in-depth lessons I have ever seen on how and why to be humble, meek, forgiving, and loving -- in short, how and why to be a true Christian. Christianity aside, these books will compare favorably with any in terms of action, adventure, suspense, and characters you really know and care about. The narration is excellent. 5 stars.

Sweet Story for Girls

What was one of the most memorable moments of An Echo in the Darkness?

The theme of God's forgiveness permeates.

Any additional comments?

My husband could not make it through this series, but for us ladies ... Well, the characters are not realistic, but they are lovely. The author serves us well, because she creates characters that inspire.

An Echo In the Darkness

There are no words to describe my joy and love for this book. The novel brings these characters to life. The historical and detailed facts of the tools and places mentioned paint a clear picture of the surroundings in that time.
The narrator of this story, Richard Ferrone, does an excellent job in his readings. Each character has their personality portrayed through his voice.
