great story that also teaches and inspires

Mark Goodwin is an excellent author. his stories are educational and inspire. I will listen/read all his books.

An excellent well researched book

This is one of the best depiction of the economic collapse facing America today. Our treasuries are emptying and our government continues to act as though the purse is bottomless. We are no longer citizens to the government we are now the assets and product that our government uses to feed its ever growing need for money and power. This book describes perfectly how I believe the downfall will come.

The entire thing. Storyline, narrator, and for sure the Christian flavor.

How has the book increased your interest in the subject matter?

We always love learning so much about the many aspects of preparing.

Does the author present information in a way that is interesting and insightful, and if so, how does he achieve this?

Absolutely, the information on preparation is threading throughout the story in a very easy flowing manner.

What did you find wrong about the narrator's performance?

nothing

A novel/awakening manual.

Read the book, and plan accordingly. Technical information and such are accurate and the story has a great plot.

Informative and entertaining

Apparently some reviewers didn’t read the page about the author. He’s a Christian author who makes it known that in his writing he will write from a Biblical perspective. It’s a Christ centered prepper story as are all his books. This one is excellent just as all the rest. Great story line, interesting characters, blessedly absent of filth, and solid Christian messaging.

Relgion, Goverment, and Survival

While I think two of the things in the title you don't discuss or at least not in detail this book doesn't take that view. The character is not afraid to tell you what they think and their beliefs. That said if you can look past that and any differences you may or may not have with their beliefs the underlying story is actually quite entertaining and perhaps very loosely educational. Remember to always be prepared and have a good selection of books like this one to listen to while you bug out after SHTF! I can't wait to listen to the second book.

i've read many 'fiction' titles in this genre. Many are fanciful and entertaining if you simply like the doomsday apocalypse genre. Others, this work included, offer practical info and even references to actual outside sources and presents ideas on what is needed and how to survive should the worst come to pass. There is excellent survival info included and references to where to search for further reading and research if you truly wish to engage and survive in a possible worst case soco collapse scenario.
