Detective Matthew Bennett doesn't believe in ghosts. So when the spirit of a murdered child leads him to her body, he's shaken to the core - and taken off the case. Unable to explain his vision, or to let go of the investigation, Matthew turns to renowned medium Kiernan Fitzpatrick. Though he has doubts about Kiernan's claims to communicate with the dead, Matt is nevertheless drawn to the handsome psychic, who awakens feelings he thought were long-buried.

Haunted by the lingering spirit of the little girl, Kiernan is compelled to aid in the search for her killer. The chance to get closer to the enigmatic Matt is an unexpected bonus. Although Kiernan's been betrayed by people who turned out to be more interested in his fame than in himself, with Matt he's willing to risk his heart. As the two men grow closer, Kiernan helps Matt rediscover that life offers no guarantees - but love offers a reason to believe....

I liked the story.

I though the actual story was interesting and it kept me engaged. The romance of it, not so much though. I mean I read it so it was actually happening, but I didn't really feel there connection. Other than that I'm not a big murder mystery reader, but this one had me wondering who the killer was. So, I was interesting enough to read it to the end.

Unexpectedly Amazing

I really didn't know how I would feel about this book. The summary made it seem a bit hit or miss. I've only recently started getting into paranormal books like this. To my great suprise, I ended up loving this book. I ended the book wanting more! My only complaint in the narrator could be very monotoned which was distracting and disappointing. On a whole he was ok, but his narration and occasionally even his character voices were just so mundane it was distracting. On a whole I highly reccomend!

Made a believer out of me...

This is my first book by Diana Copeland and I admit it sat in my queue for quite some time. I downloaded it spontaneously and I wasn’t sure I was going to enjoy it because of the supernatural aspect. I am so glad I decided to listen to it. In fact, I didn’t want to “put it down”! This book really had everything from mystery to intrigue and of course to romance. I absolutely fell in love with both of the main characters and laughed and cried throughout the book.

The writing was a perm and the narration was excellent. I can’t wait to read more of this authors books.

I am hooked.

Very well written and narrated. A reason to believe is a perfect title and couldn't wait for daily commute to hear more. Story line reminded me of actual event that occurred about the murder of a little beauty pageant queen. And it would be great it Kieran and Matt returned to solve more murders or cold cases.

Review for A Reason to Believe

This book was so worth reading! The plot was fantastically woven in with the strong characters in the story. Copeland and Lefleur are excellent in their attention to detail in the setting and background right at the beginning, so no back tracking. The action and scenes just popped! Read and enjoy! I will certainly add this dynamic duo to my author list.
