Publisher's summary

Todd, the youngest of four children, has a developmental disability that keeps him at home on the farm with his mother and father. One special holiday season, Todd hears an ad on the radio from a shelter looking for temporary homes for their dogs during the holiday week. When Todd's parents at last give in to his pleas for this charitable cause, the family is faced with an entire shelter full of dogs needing homes.

Using his special charms and gifts of persuasion, Todd encourages his whole community to help in the "adopt a dog for Christmas program" and, more importantly, teaches his family the true meaning of goodwill.

Dog lovers everywhere need those book.

Outstanding, sentimental and loved the narrator. A story that teaches us something about giving and about ourselves.

It made my mom cry

Would you listen to A Dog Named Christmas again? Why?

My family listened to it during over Christmas break, we were doing a puzzle while it was playing. The whole family enjoyed it, my mom especially thought it was a wonderful story.

The narrator is so good, I’d listen to him read a telephone book!

Very nice, sweet enjoyable story. The writing is good filled with lots of vivid details. There’s no serious, upsetting trauma which I prefer when it comes to animal stories.
I highly recommend this book because it’s easy on the nerves. The people are kind to each other, the father who tells the story is thoughtful and believable. And like I’ve already stated, the narrator is maybe the best I’ve ever enjoyed.
