Publisher's summary

What is your desire?

Lust, money, or power?

I am the man who can make every dream come true, for a price.

Years ago, a fight for supremacy took place between the two most powerful families in New Orleans. The battle was set in the metaphoric octagon, with the spotlight blazing. The city sat in paralyzed fear, awaiting word of a victor.

Abraham Rames versus Isaiah Boudreau.

One man would emerge victorious and rule the city of sin.

Neither understood that the devil was in the details.

Neither lived to see the rising sun.

I’m Everett Rames, son of Abraham, and I am the devil.

I took my rightful place as king of New Orleans.

Now, my realm is threatened by a man with false claims to the Boudreaux.

I know what I must have to secure my reign - who I must have.

The rightful daughter of Isaiah Boudreau, Emma North, must be my wife. Together we will reign stronger than ever before. But first, she must take the devil’s deal.

Dark short preview

Fates Demand is a preview in the Devil’s Duet about Emma and Rett. It was originally published as The Deal a short story in the One More Step anthology.
One more step for Emma means death. Emma lives in Pittsburg but travelled to New Orleans for a business meeting. Emma was born in New Orleans, yet was raised by her adopted parents. Emma recently found out she was adopted after her parents died. She found out who her birth mother was but not who her birth father was until she met Rett.
Aleatha wets readers appetite with a new dark romance world. I suppose I’m not getting dark vibes from this preview so I’ll keep it on my mind for a later possibility.

Required scene

It's only a scene, and not really a complete book. BUT this novella is necessary to read before the Devil series duet books.

Need more.

I am intrigued. Rival families, questionable marriage proposition, lurid meeting 🔥 I am all for this.
