Makes 50 shades sound G rated!

I enjoyed this book a lot. It is in the same realm as 50 Shades, but much more intense and extreme. I actually like the male character much better than Christian Grey. I agree with the other reviews that it is not the best writing, but it is in line with this genre. It definitely kept my attention and I didn't want to stop listening.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Just when you think you have it all figured out, you are shocked. The twists in the story were good.... I don't care for the use of the C word at all however. I had also heard just about enough of the debate in the main female character's head....that got really boring, so much so I wish there was a skip ahead 30 seconds instead of a rewind. It was worth listening to, I couldn't put it down at the end....I NEEDED to know what happened.

Narrator's "male" interpretation of the voices drove me nuts.

The story was interesting and the erotic scenes were very explicit and shocking. Kept me on my toes.

What does Lexi Maynard bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

good narrator

Frustrating Heroine

I liked the overall story and book, but the heroine was just TSTL most of the time. She'd demand to know something, then when she'd get an answer, she'd say, "I don't want to talk about it," and cut the conversation off. She was whiny and has no insight to herself or others. She makes stupid mistakes and has to force herself to believe old lies about herself even when she's learned differently. Her inner conflict just goes on too long and becomes more annoying than interesting.

I did like the suspense, the surprise leading up to the end, and her sexual awakening. A heroine with a more adult attitude would have made a HUGE difference.

The narrator was okay, but she didn't have a voice that worked all that well for narrating the male POV. I did like her Louisiana accent and felt that worked, especially for the hero's grandfather.

How did the narrator detract from the book?

I have listened to a few of her readings and I Love her voice most of the time. there are times that I like and dislike portions of her readings with male characters but overall, I really enjoy the influx and emotion in her voice sometimes she wines and other times she just falls into her roll perfectly.

I have listened to a lot of her books and she never cease to get me entwined and all worked up with her hot and steamy stories. I love he way she tells the story in a way you can follow. Notice to all you listeners out there… If you don’t enjoy ménage then you might want to think twice before listening to her books. She’s not over the top but I love her storyline most of the time

he story was easy to follow, and exciting, I find that the story was unrealistic with the way Morgan gave into to jack so early in the book.

I loved the back story about Jacks grandfather and the naughty way he goes about getting jack to see that He's missing in Morgan

I usually figure out "who did it" early in the book but this time I was surprised at who the villain turned out to be.

I did expect that the brother would show up at the worst possible time and he didn't disappoint.

worth the credit!

i suppose you could say i'm on an erotica kick right now, having finished Fifty Shades and wanting more, i turned to Bared to You, but even that wasn't enough. so i did a little searching online and Wicked Ties was the next recommendation.

my oh my! what a fun read. and yes people, it's not exactly the most plausible storyline out there, but in terms of a fun escape, this did it for me. it was fun how the two ended up completely alone, having only each other to explore. loved every minute of it, and have listened to it twice.

it was wonderfully sweet moments, and it made me giggle in a few places too. the narration is terrific. so i gave it five stars. definitely worth the credit.

No story except for the sex

Would you try another book from Shayla Black and/or Lexi Maynard?

Lexi Maynard is a fine narrator - very enjoyable to listen to, I would enjoy hearing other books narrated by her.
As for Shayla Black - I'm sorry to say I like a bit more storyline in thing I read or listen to. The sex scenes are okay, but that was basically all this book was. I'm just not a fan of her writing style.

no, this was the 1st book.

Could you see Wicked Ties being made into a movie or a TV series? Who should the stars be?

No. the story line was basically D/S intro with a very minor side story of stalking gone extreme.

the premise of the story was great - tv sex show personality being stalked and wanting more info on BDSM or Dom Sub it could have been a great book with a dirty romp, and figuring out who's the bad guy - but I never bought the main character being so oblivious, and naive being in tv. The Dom was just a so so character. The story was just weak overall.

50 Shades Who??????

This book was far better than I thought it would have been.....I was....Wow! I cannot even put into words how well I enjoyed this book. It is not for the faint at heart! Oh and the story line was good too!
